  1. @SimonNH 1. My interview is next week, and I got DQ'd in October 2. The priority date is irrelevant, they're only concerned about DQ date 3. I'd recommend joining "K-1 and CR-1 VISA Process for Aussies" on Facebook, there's a very good support network there.
  2. I have an upcoming interview for my CR1/IR1 visa at the Sydney Consulate in Australia. My wife and I both live Australia, and therefore we are using assets on the affidavit of support submission. We definitely have sufficient assets, however, my wife has had her bank account in the USA since she was a kid and therefore her mum's name is also on the account (i.e. it's a joint account). Do you think this would be an issue at the interview? Does anyone have any previous experience with this?
  3. @AshleyB I've just got my interview date (21st March 2023) and my DQ date was mid October 2022. Join the K-1 and CR-1 VISA Process for Aussies group on Facebook, lot's of very helpful people & information
  4. For those who are interested, heres some data I've collected in regards to recent IR-1/CR-1 interview dates at the Sydney Consulate. As you can see, the time between DQ date and interview date is beginning to shorten.
  5. It's doc qualified and still with NVC, just trying to find out if someone has any success or experience doing the same recently.
  6. Just wondering if anyone has recently changed their originally designated consulate to London recently for CR-1/IR-1 processing? I'm a British citizen, but currently reside in Australia. The projected DQ to interview timeframe at the Sydney Consulate is 8-10 months, so if there's an opportunity to shorten this timeframe I'd be interested in reducing it.
  7. My Australian police check was fine thankfully, we had issues with the NZ police check which she sorted out. Sadly it does look like a 6-8 month wait, but at least we’re in the queue. Thankfully we both live in Australia, so we’re not having to deal with separation etc.
  8. @JannaB you're a life saver! We're future Oregonians, and reached out to Whitney based off your posts and she got the NVC clerical error issue we were experiencing sorted! Now for the long wait for an interview at the Sydney Consulate, but it feels great to be DQ'd at last!
  9. Yep makes sense, thanks for the prompt response @JoshandSarah The hunt for the right solution goes on!
  10. @JackN, @VMikaele or @DSB27 Did marking the NZ Police certificate as not available work for you? I uploaded the Section 14 form and confirmation from the NZ Vetting service that it was issued to the Auckland Consulate as the "NZ Police Certificate" and they rejected it. Trying to work out how to avoid something similar happening again!
  11. @EKT and @JoshandSarah can you confirm exactly what you uploaded to NVC? We've just been rejected for "not providing an NZ police certificate" by NVC, even though we did the following; 1. Uploaded my Section 14 form and confirmation email from the NZ Police Vetting Service 2. Confirmed with the Auckland Consulate that they issued the certificate to NVC and the Sydney Consulate (where I'll be processed) We're really struggling to work out what we did wrong, and how we can avoid the same thing happening again in 3 months time!
  12. I've just had my NZ Police Certificate rejected by NVC, for those who've had theirs accepted, could you let me know what you uploaded? We uploaded the following; - Section 14 Vetting Request Form - Confirmation email from NZ Police that my vetting had been processed - Covering letter explaining the fact we never receive the certificate, and therefore can't upload one. Any direction would be greatly appreciated, this is now our second RFE from NVC and it's beginning to take it's toll.
  13. @mekbus what did you submit for your NZ police check? Just had mine rejected again, we uploaded the request form, and acknowledgement email from NZ vetting. Got this response from NVC today "Please submit a police certificate for JED from NEW ZEALAND" I am now at a complete loss on what to do
  14. @Lauriane_C we're in a similar situation, just wondering if you could provide a copy of the letter/email you sent to NVC to request the expedite? (Obviously with all the private information blocked out etc.) Wanting to make sure I get it right when we submit the request.
  15. @mekbus fingers cross the resubmittal goes through without any issues for you. Sadly on the NZ one I sent through the Ministry of Justice version (which I had used for my Australian VISA last year, so ignorantly assumed they'd be the same), the Auckland consulate have confirmed they've sent the NZ Police vetting one through to the NVC, so fingers crossed it's accepted first time.
  16. @JannaB sounds like we both have the same document, I only submitted the front page as no information was provided on the back.
  17. Thanks @webber777, just signed up to the page now.
  18. @JannaB & @Chanel H. my Australian Police Check was accepted earlier this month by NVC, with the title "Immigration/Citizenship - Australia Name Check Only". I'm now having issues with my NZ Police Check however, and am waiting for NVC to review my resubmitted version.
  19. @haiku just wondering how you managed to get your case expedited?
  20. @haroutk congratulations, hopefully my wife & I are in a similar boat. We're expecting to wait the 2.5-3 months for our re-submitted NZ police check
  21. I've just had a similar RFE to yourself, although I uploaded the Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check. (I missed that you needed the Police Vetting check). Just submitted the Section 14 form to the NZ police, and uploaded evidence of the submittal onto the CEAC portal. Hopefully doesn't put to the back of the line...........
  22. Thanks for clarifying,. I've just had to replace one of my documents, so trying to determine if that puts my review to the back of the line?
  23. @Hoba did your "upload date" for the document change when you re-submitted?
  24. I received an RFE today, to provide the correct NZ police check (I submitted the wrong, but know how to fix it). Having re-submitted the document into the CEAC portal, the "date uploaded" hasn't changed and still remains as the 28th April. Just wondering how this RFE response will impact my timelines? Particularly I don't have a received document upload date.
