My friend was married to a US citizen in Uruguay… then they decided they wanted to live in the US and her husband apply to give her the green card… she entered the US with a temporary (1year) Green card holder VISA (the green card was given to her in The US after her entry), now after years of waiting they approved their permanent residency and the card got lost. She is applying to a I90 to get her green card replaced, what should she put under question 12 Part 1: Class of Admission?

The case was approved at the interview, a second email after the one "your green card will arrived within 30 days" was send with the above message...

If they have taken everything the first time then why would they need more. They had all their proof yes? So they just need to take back what the officer asked for.

I have a question, my brother and his wife had their 1st interview last month.... everything went well, the officer kept some pictures and paper work and told them the green card was going to arrived within a few weeks. A week later they received a letter requesting the original copy of the policy record (my brother has 1 juvenile record, some little arrest not a big deal) since my brother and wife by mistake gave a copy of the original. Now they got a second interview appointment for March. Of course this freaks them out since many people ay the second interview is ruff and they could be nasty, etc, etc. Their marriage is real, they are young they live with my parents because they can not afford right now a house of their own. any suggestion?. what else can they bring? they gave the officer, pictures of the wedding, pictures of them, joint accounts, proof of insurance (actually under my fathers name but both on it) ... should they get letters from family members and co workers? they just did their taxes for 2010 (of course married jointly)

any experiences on this? I am worry they do not deserve this.

I am currently requesting my parents. I have to fill out a form G325 for myself. I am a US naturalized. where is asking me "Citizenship/Nationality" I have to put United States correct? below is asking me for city and country of birth... so guess so.... a silly question but thanks for helping!!!

Also.... On the I864 (affidavity of support) I have to fill out one for mother and one for father.... when is asking me about how many immigrants (points 8 annd 9) should I include for example in my moms I864 my dads as apliying with her? or should I just put 1 immigrant in each form?

I received our RFE letter today and it says petitioner's income did not meet 125% of federal poverty line for the household size.

I don't understand but we have submitted all the transcripts my husband who is the USC has income (line 22 of the transcript) of 19,514 for Y 2009 in his ITR and income of $ 10,404 from his own business for which we filed Form 1065. If you total the 2 it is more than the required in poverty guidelines or was it wrong to compute it this way? This was for Y2009 which was really a bad year for him but for Y08 and Y07 he made more than 100K.

His current income was $ 70K gross for which we have included 3 month's copy of his payslips and letter from his employer stating when he was hired, his position, salary and other job related matters that we thought would help prove his ability to support us.

From this alone I don't think we need a co sponsor in our petition but we received an RFE, what do you think is the best solution for this? Is it ok to send the same forms and a letter explaining our case and show computation or is it better to have a joint sponsor? Also, my husband has quit his job and started on his new job last week. The papers we have submitted in the current income were from his old job now that we got RFE which current income should we consider now? Has anyone encountered the same problem? It really confuses me

As per I understood in the instructions you have to submit at least 6 months proof of income for which you trying to get approve. You said you only submit 3 months (does the paystubs show his last 6 months payments?)

Hi guys, I am currently trying to send my parents petition. I am a US citizen and my parents enter the US with a visa. I been reading the USCIZS website and I just want to clarify where do I need to send both forms along with some others....

It shows that for I130 the Lock box should be Texas but for I485 should be Chicago (while leaving in Florida) It also says that if applying for both at the same time should be Chicago. Is this correct? I am reading fine? I just want to make sure. Also should I send one package complete separate for my mom and one for my dad? or I can put both packages in one envelope?

On the I485, under Part 3, section B where it says spose information.

I am petitioning both of my parents, I know I have to filed a separate I485 for each. So on each under this section I have to put their spouses (themselves of course) do I check yes or no under the question: aplying with you?

Hi guys, I am about to petition my parents and my fiancé. I need affidavities of support for all of them separately. Based on the poverty guidelines of 2010 the minimum requirement for a household of 5 (my case when petitioning all these people) is $32,237.00 and my last income tax gross income was $32,981.85. Even thought I am at the border line this income will qualify. But what about if now in 2010 my income is much less than this amount? Because of hours cuts I think my yearly income barely reaches the $25,000.

My 2007 was $30,000

My 2008 was $28,000

my 2009 $32,237.00

do I still need a co sponsor? if so, in the event I have one (a friend of my that has a paid off house valued at $200,000) Can I used her for all the petitions? can she co sponsor 3 people?

Hi guys, I just become a US citizen. I want to petition my parents. Both are currently in the US with no status. After calling USCIS I got all the forms required, but there is one form that I believe I dont have to submit I131 (Aplication for travel document) because my parennts are already here. Anyone knows about this?

Also, when filling out the I485 Part 2 where I have to check why they are adjusting status, should I check the option Other? and it says Explain, what should I put? anyone did this? please advise, USCIS customer service wont provide this info for me

this an old post but I had my oath at the 88 Nw 7th Ave on July 28th, 2010. The room was small, we were 200 + guests and it was packed. we were 7 or 8 Argentineans that day, not bad. The downside, it was only 45 minutes. I hardly had time to sit down, that we were out of there.

Ironically, after my wife struggled with naming the 13 original states and the four amendments to the US Constitution, she was asked to name her congressman, senator, governor, and who is the governmental head of your city, the mayor for the first four questions. Other two were the three colors of the flag and how many stripes. Kind of figured they wouldn't ask her those long answered questions, would be way to complicated for the IO to keep track of those long answers. But you never know for sure.

You can go to this site and learn the name of your congressman, https://writerep.hou...p/welcome.shtml, bu just typing in your zip code. Was easy for my wife married to me, she met our congressman and senator in person, but not our governor, he was too busy dreaming up new taxes to charge us.
