  1. I hope it is not the case My J1 expiration date is 2024. I maxed it out before applying for a waiver.
  2. Looks like I have a long way receiving the waiver :) Here is the timeline; October 6, 2022 DS-3035 package received October 13, 2022 NOS received On top of it I changed my address and had to sent an updated address. I hope it won’t set me back.
  3. Hello everyone. I have won DV lottery and a waiver is needed. However, I am participating in research and I need to transfer my J1 and extend the end date in 3 months. I am aware that if I receive favorable recommendation, I won’t be able to transfer/extend it. It is alright with pending status though. Here is my problem. I will fill out DS-3035 based on my current DS-2019. If I receive the waiver, will I be re-subject to 2 year rule? Because my DS-2019 will be changed. Do you think that it will cause a problem? Thank you in advance for your help.
