  1. My husband is applying for B2 Visa, I’m a green card resident and he’s applying for that to visit me. How much US should be in his account for the interview?
  2. We are about to submit the visa application for my spouse. However, we’ve reached the part to enter the passport number and in the first attempt we put the wrong letter so now we’re unable to get past the “Sign and Submit” part. It says “The Passport Number entered does not match the Passport Number that you previously entered.” It’s not allowing us to submit it now. Do you know how we can get this to work or who we can reach out to regarding this? We’re not sure what to do now
  3. Hi, how long can you stay in the US with a B1/B2 visa
  4. I am legally changing my name on my ID in my home country and adopting my husband’s name. I will be hyphenating my last name along with his and I was wondering if I would have to update my name on my social security if I am in the process of filing the I-130 for him as a LPR? Or it doesn’t matter since I am hyphenating?
  5. Preparing to apply for I-130 as a LPR for my spouse, we are newly married. What are the steps?
  6. Hello, We are in the process of preparing to file for the I-130. However, my spouse and I recently got married two weeks ago and we don’t have shared residence, finances, apartment leases, etc like that currently. What is another way of showing evidence of a bona fide marital relationship? We’ve been together for 7 years. Forgot to mention, he is 26 and I am 23. We are still young and establishing ourselves but our relationship is 100% genuine.
  7. I am the LPR the non LPR is my husband, he is in home country. he is beneficiary on my life insurance already. How do I validate the long term relationship? Can we submit letters from people who know us and pictures?

  9. If we move to Mexico and my spouse applies for a work visa while his application for marriage green card is pending, will this affect anything?
  10. No kids involved. Thank you very much for the clear explanation. On an average how long does it take to approve?
  11. Thank you Susie. Someone said I can apply for I130 after getting married. What’s the difference between the I130 and F2A? Which one is better to apply for?
  12. Thank you so much. Do you know how long this usually takes and if applying for citizenship before marriage will disrupt the application for the I130?
  13. Hello, I just want to start off by saying thank you for the willingness to read my post. My fiancé (no visa, citizen of Trinidad and Tobago) and I have been together for 6 years and we are getting married in September 2022. I have been a green-card holder since 2017 and have proof of residency within the US with my bank statements, job, I pay taxes, etc. I have traveled back and forth within those years to my country of citizenship to visit my fiancé and have stayed out of the US the longest being 1 year since becoming a US resident. I would like to become a citizen of America, but I would also like to know if my fiancé can get his marriage green-card with me being a US resident only? Should I apply for citizenship first? What steps should we take for this? We can more than prove our relationship is sincere at this point so that is the least of my worries. I’d just like guidance on where to start. Thank you for reading 🥰
