  1. What do you mean?

    What Agency or What Airline?

If I were you I would shop around Philippines to get a good deal..

Best place to buy a ticket for the USA (thanks)

Just try the philippineairlines.com website. Or just try to inquire to any travel agency in the mall particularly in SM mall.

    Goodluck

    Claire

I already tried inquiring at the Travel Agencies inside the SM Mall and found them to be more expensive than the agencies outside. just an idea... :innocent:

  2. So I just got in @ work and go through my daily routine of calling NVC's automated service.

    I was shock to hear..

"Your case was completed Jan 2, 2008!!

    WOW!! I am so happy...

Thank You to all the nice VJers that helped me through this hard process..

Especially RINA.. Thank You so much!!

Now I am just hoping for a late Feb Interview...

    CONGRATS ERICK!!

  3. Voilà, our journey is over. My IR-1 visa (immigrant visa) was granted yesterday.

My appointment was at 1pm at the US embassy in Paris. We showed up at 12:15 pm and they didn't want to let us in so we came back at 1pm, time of the appointment.

After 10 mins, I had to give my letter of appointment to someone. I was called again and this time, she shecked my documents and asked for my medical. Asked a few questions like "When are you coming to the USA?". I answered I didn't know exactly. I was caught off guard as I can't go to the US if I don't have the visa. She told me I had 6 month to enter the US and to go sit down, the officer would call me for my interview.

By the time I was called, it was 4pm already and she just asked where I was going to live in the US (whate State) and where was my husband and that was it, she said congratulations, you'll get your visa in 7 days, don't open the sealed enveloppe we will give you bla bla bla bla...

It took less than 20 mins for everything. The wait lasted for 3 hours though.

Some tips: it wasn't mentioned anywhere that I had to bring en enveloppe (Fedex, DHL...) so I had to go to the post office and send it to the US embassy.

My husband had to scan the appointment letter he received or I was unable to do my medical on time. I received my appointment letter 1 week exactly before the interview and during that week, you had Christmas day and New Year's day. With doctors on vacation, I would have never had the time to do all this on time.

Good luck to everyone! It was way easier than I thought!

wow!! congratulations and am happy that u'll be together soon!

  4. I just called NVC again this evening, just want to confirm "administrative process" that I got yesterday. However, magically, the operator said my case is completed!!!! Unbelievable. Does this mean yesterday the operator made a mistake on my case status, or the process only takes a day?

Not sure if I have to double check the completion tomorrow. Too good to be true.

I want to thanks all VJs here.... Lots support and encouragement I got. Can not imagine how down I could be without you guys here.....

    congratulations!!

just believe what's the last thing u've heard!

  5. sad to hear about what happened to u, hope u'll resolve the issue and have a good news very soon. am sorry i dont have any experience to share but it's good that u post such experience for others awareness.

  7. Our case in NVC was completed on December 11. I pray we'll make it for January interview. Btw I mailed out DS-230 package on Noveber 26, and haven't sent any photocopies of original docoments. Regarding police certificates I've sent only NBI clearance. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and good luck to all VJ'ers.

No date of interview yet? hope ul let us know when u got ur medical and interview date

  8. bump

For all I know, census couldn't be wrong on the info you're requesting, r u sure that ur fiance really haven't married before? I heard from one travel agency that that's the same case to the girl they're helping, she got married when she was 16 but she kept that truth from her fiance cuz she thought it couldn't be a valid marriage since she was underage then but it was, cuz it was registered and entered the NSO system.. Am not jumping into conclusion that ur girl married before, better u checked the info u gave the NSO, make sure u supply them her REAL COMPLETE NAME, date of birth, place of bith and parents name.. any info that will come out from that information u give them is the 100% truth cuz it means something happened before that's why they have a record.

(the result u got could be wrong only if u gave them the wrong biographic info of your fiance)

  10. Listen to this nice piece of noose I got from doing my weekley call to the USE.. They now need a P 650 fee paid at the metro bank ASAP After paing that fee they need me to send a text to Delbro International showing I made the deposit.

This is the info she gave me:

Go to any Metro Bank and deposit php 650

    Account # 7-151-51420-7

Account name : Delbros International Logistics INC

Get two deposit slipps one for the bank and one to keep

after that is done you will need to send a text message in all capital letters to:

    TN # 0917-5555-313

    USE-MNL case number - first, last, middle name-(branch name)-(dat of deposit)-(time of deposit)-PHP650

Example of date 7 dec 07 day month year

She said people that already have interview dates don't need to do this and she was told to start giving this info out yesterday.

Thanks to Cadman76 for pointing this out to me, its not an extra fee but a required process which Delbros does, they verify that your beneficiary in the Philippines has a valid birth certificate and is sent to NSO for verification. Its actually stated on the USEM website http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3219.html the 6th bullet from the bottom of the page and has a link to http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfdelb.pdf describing what Tim posted.

to my understanding, this fee if for verification of some documents only just in case it needed:

Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified.

In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is P650 per applicant. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please click here. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application

    hi nicole/philip

yes, to my understanding also, that P650 fee is for document verification and not for delbros delivery, but my question is, do i need to pay that if my documents are not delayed? or (late registered)? and if yes, when do i need to pay that? i dont have the interview date yet but our case (CR 1) is almost complete now.. pls make it clear to me.. thank u.

Hi Tim Y, after reading this link http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3219.html

i learned that the P650 fee is for document verification.. what is that document verification? cuz on that link it says that it must be paid before the immigrant visa interview or else it will make a one or two weeks delay on processing your application.

  12. My hubby call me everyday like 5 to 10 times a day while he's at work!! he's the one waking me up in the morning and we chat using webcams when he gets home (noon my time which is his time before goin to bed) and again evening my time which is his morning as he wakes up. We text each other also very often especially while the other one is sleeping and it helps to build a sweeter relationship just saying anything ur doing to ur other half. We feel like we're just there on each other's side! but ofcourse there are times that i just miss hugging and kissing him! :crying:

  13. 5 holidays have past without being together and we may yet miss another one or two; so I guess you can say we have the holiday blues. Once together we will be celebrating every flippin holiday we have missed.

    how sweet is that!
