finally a status update on the Oath ceremony on the 45th day after interview....oath appt letter in the mail. interview date Nov 8.
moving slowly but surely...

Should I be worried that I had my interview on 11/8. 'in queue' for Oath ceremony notice on 11/10 but no Oath date yet.
it says in the last update that Oath ceremony would be within 45 days of approval...are they just cutting it close? or am I being paranoid?

Question - for spouse based naturalization, does the sponsoring spouse need to go to the interview? the interview letter does not ask for this anywhere and yet I am to bring the spouses ID with me that proves that they are a citizen? sounds strange...

So I got the interview letter today. I find it strange that they don't want the spouse to go with you for the interview but they want all of the spouses papers.
Is that right?

I have my fingerprints tomorrow. just checked the letter and it says for applicants of naturalization, I am to bring the alien registration card ID. WHAT IS THAT? is it the Green Card?
I have all kinds of state issued IDs just nothing that actually says Alien Registration Card!

it's anywhere from 2-4 weeks to get it. they need a copy of the birth certificate and also a letter specifying that this is for US immigration purposes. they need the last address in pakistan is lived at, the duration, etc.

if he's not there, he can get someone else to get it on his behalf. he'll need to send a consent letter with a couple of passport size pictures as identity.
i believe it costs 1000 rupees or something. it will take about 2-3 weeks to get it. as always, it's better if he knows someone there.

alas, the much awaited green card is here. valid for 10 years.
best wishes and good luck to the rest of you out there. the AOS process was exactly 9 months long for us including SSN, work permit, and greencard. in retrospect not so bad, however, seemed like ages while we waited.

good news! the kids got an email notification today from CRIS that their greencard production was ordered yesterday. my case is not on line but I know that it's processing with them. it said to allow 30 days for the card to be recd. hope it's sooner, i'd like to go to canada for thanksgiving...

we were just told verbally at the interview that we were approved. the officer took our I-94's as well.
Skykate, did you get a welcome letter in the mail and the greencard or just the welcome letter so far?

so how long does it take to get the green card after appoval? this is the 3rd week since the approval and interview. we have no notification or sign of it.
