I just wondered of the two had been linked.

From a practical perspective with an expedite it is by definition discretionary and they can approve or not, as was mentioned above Iranian cases generally go into longer review even after the interview so nothing will happen quickly.

I figured being Iranian already resulted in a huge setback…thanks anyways 🙏

Boiler wasn't asking the reason for the expedite, they are asking what part of the process you are trying to expedite.

The interview itself. Case (CR1) is currently at NVC

  3. Hi,

I also posted this in the NVC subforums since I was not sure where it belongs. Please delete the incorrect thread.

I submitted an NVC Expedite on June 12 for the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi. My expedite was based on a life-and-death situation. My doctor wrote a fantastic letter, indicating the petitioner’s condition (Me) is deteriorating rapidly and life-threatening. He provided his letter, assessment and prescription information.

And yet, Abu Dhabi rejected it… I am at a loss of words…how can I prove the severity of the situation??? Please if you have any advice, I would really appreciate it. My only thought is to get another doctor to write a letter and request another expedite with both letters.

  4. I am USC. I submitted I-130 petition for my wife in March. It has been under active review since June.  She lives in Iran.

Would it be worth submitting an expedite request for our case given the current civil unrest, protests, violence/brutality from police, and nation-wide Internet blackout?

Do I have anything to lose if it is denied? I dont want to further delay our case.

    Thank You
