  1. Has anybody here done the combo interview or naturalization interview in Milwaukee / Wisconsin? How long do they take to schedule the oath ceremony? Has been 60 days for me and nothing yet.
  2. Hi, it's been 60 days since my naturalization application was approved but there's no oath ceremony date yet. The automatic machine in USCIS customer service doesn't answer my question and they wont schedule an infopass appointment for this. Everybody I know who got approved after me is already a citizen. Should I contact a senator or lawyer now or how much longer should I wait? Thanks!
  3. Similar situation but it was not the interview, it was the oath ceremony that was scheduled and canceled right away. I posted the question in some forum were lawyers answer and they said it was normal that they schedule and cancel interviews and ceremonies.
  4. Can you travel internationally with your 24 month extension & your expired green card between combo interview & oath ceremony? hi, my green card (as that of most of us here) expired on June 2021. I have the 24 month extension. I had my combo interview last week and the i751 was approved but I haven’t received the approve letter. The officer said I won’t get a 10 year green card because I’ll become a citizen soon. I want to travel very few days internationally before the oath ceremony. Anybody has hear about any issues that could happen with this? Will I have any problem returning to the US? thanks!
  5. Hi, I had my combo interview yesterday. The officer said I was approved. A few hours later my online status changed to “we recommended that your form N400… be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review”. a few minutes later it changed to “your form N400… was place in line for oath ceremony scheduling” Some minutes later it changed to “We canceled the scheduled appointment for the oath ceremony…” Then, they placed me in line again. Now it just says “oath ceremony will be scheduled”. Anybody has had their ceremony scheduled and then canceled with no reason and the put back in line? Why coyol this be? how long is it taking for them to schedule? How long should one wait before calling to complain? Do they have a number of days to schedule? Or can they take as long as they want? thanks!!
  6. I have my interview in Milwaukee in two days… how long after the interview was your oath ceremony?
  7. So that means it’s being processed by your local office, the same that will conduct the N400 interview, so they have the power to approve the two on the same day if they want to do so
  8. Hi, I’m on the same boat. But I’m quite sure they’ll probably do the combo interview even if it doesn’t say in the letter. At least, I’m preparing for it to be that way and I’ll bring my husband with me in case they need him. I suggest you do the same if your partner can come. And I’ll bring asm much evidence of our marriage as I can. One thing that I’m not sure happened to you is that the day I got my N400 interview letter, that same day I received a letter saying my i751 had been transferred to the national benefits center which happens when they transfer an application to your local office. So I’m not sure if your i751 is still being processed in the old office, in that case chance is your won’t get a combo interview. But I would go prepared for it anyway.
  9. I submitted a month after you the i751 (April 2021). On April 2022 I submitted the n400. At the end of June I received two letters sent the same day and my status changed the same day on both applications. One letter said that my i751 had been transferred to a different office for faster processing. The other said I was scheduled for the n400 interview which is in less than a month. Im guessing it means I’ll have a combo interview. Just for reference!
  10. Hi, 6 years ago I had a traffic incident and I don't know if I should mention it in the N400 interview. I failed to give the right of way to an incoming car and we crashed. I gave my insurance to pay for the damages of the two cars and the incident appears on my drivers record (but the record says "involvement indicated in this report doesn't mean the individual was at fault or given a citation"). I cannot remember if I had a ticket or not. The police report doesn't say if I had to pay any fine. I am sure I was NOT ordered to go to court, I would remember that, and I've never had to attend traffic school. The damages were minor & there was no injuries nor alcohol or drugs involved. There's no statements available from my credit card from 2016, so I cannot find a record if I paid a ticket at that time or not. So, I honestly don't know if I ever had a ticket or not. In the adjustment of status interview I said I've never had a citation because until today I had totally forgotten about this incident. Until I found in my hard drive, in the car documents folder something called crash report and then i remembered. What should I answer to the have you ever been cited question?
  11. OMG are you in Milwaukee? Me too and exact same position. Have my interview in a few weeks, which I’m guessing will be a combo interview. What day of the week is your oath ceremony? Just wondering if there’s any chance that I could have same day ceremony… my interview is on a Wednesday but can’t find on line which days they do it in Milwaukee. I have a trip already paid soon after the interview and unless the ceremony is the same day, I might not have time to get my new passport.
  12. Can I request a specific date for the oath ceremony on my naturalization interview? Hi, I have my citizenship interview on July 27th. On September 2 I'm supposed to go on a trip to Spain that I have dreamed on doing with my husband for years and we spent thousands of dollars on tickets and hotels that we cannot cancel (the citizenship process took a lot less that what we expected). For what I have read on line my oath ceremony would be any time between the same day (July 27th) and two months after (28 Sept). What can I do to make it possible to travel? Could I ask the agent the day of the interview to either do my oath ceremony that same day or after my trip? What happens if the oath ceremony is on the dates of my trip, can i move it and how is that process? how long will it take to know my new ceremony date?
