There is a rumour going around that ESPN2 will be showing the early Saturday morning games here in the US as well as possibly the Monday Afternoon games. I have heard this is subject to a contract being signed with FSC.

Some champtionship and carling cup games are available on ESPN360 here in the US. I get ESPN 360 for free with my ISP.

Setanta is now showing as much EPL this season. Partly due to the UK division being closed.

Funny isn't it? My first year as well. But as I keep saying to my wife, when we go back in November, at least tickets will be a bit cheaper! Look forward to cheering on the Toon. Will do so, no matter what league we are in. Its in the blood.

No, I was not asked for ID. I've had lots of deliveries from sms over the years (they deal with seetickets as well) never once was I asked for ID. Though right enough, they say it is required.

The Fox football phone in. Yeah that's still on, not sure how. Every other caller is usually wasted, its good for a laugh if nothing else. To think I used to knock Sky Sports. I miss it now!

This is true. That said, they had Sky's Andy Gray on ESPN for the Euros last summer, and they said he would be back for the World Cup. Its funny how often he has to correct his American co-commentator.

That's funny julez. I'll most likely need to get Setanta for next season, if Newcastle go down, as that's the only channel that shows the championship games. Though Newcastle will switch places again with Wolves end of next season when we get promoted back to the premiership, and they go back to the championship.

We switched from COmcast to Verizon purely for Setanta. Fox football channel is #######. Now I can watch Arsenal games. Also I believe Setanta will be showing the world cup & Rugby (6 nations) when they are back right?

I'll be getting setanta for next season, seeing as my lot will be in the championship.

I used Scottish bank notes to pay for my visa. Was not intentional, I just took money out from my local bank the day before I traveled down to London. It didn't occur to me until I got into the embassy and was sitting waiting bored, that I only had Scottish notes (I lived in England, but about 2 miles from the Scottish border). I would have used my card if they were not accepted, but the woman took the money without any issue.

I've had a few issues attempting to use them in the south in the past. You will find small independent business wont take them. But the big companies don't usually have a problem. I used the rest of my Scottish notes on embassy day, at the Starbucks where I broke the news to my now wife, that my visa was approved.

Used to enjoy a few nuky broons before the Toon games. Not quite the same when the games start at 9am or 6am.

I miss being able to go with my old man to the games. He's a moaning old git no matter how well we do, but yeah I miss that.
