A lease would probably help. We got approved today, didn't send them a great deal and we do not have joint bank accoints. I did send our lease for the last few years, joint taxes, joint health insurance papers, travel stuff and that was about it to be honest. One thing I have learnt is that its not how much you send, its def the quality of it.

I went through Dublin in 2008, it was very easy. You get taken to the secondry inspection room, give your finger prints. Took less than 10 minutes, they were friendly too.
Made for a much more relaxing flight.
Best of luck! I love it here in Chicago. Very Brit friendly!

Had my biometrics today. Also got that weird letter last week, so I asked at the service center. They told me it was sent in error and to wait 30 days before calling, its likely they will send another letter before then. Will wait til January..

Good to hear you are well Damien. It will be six years for me come June. Its crazy to think about it.
Best of luck with it all! For the rest of you going through the process, it is worth all the effort and more.
The first year is hard, no question about it. Get through that and you will be fine. There were times when I felt like going back, but glad I stuck it out. Could not imagine going back to the UK now.
