  1. My husband’s birthday is also June. We were married Feb 2021 in Uganda but I began the petition from the US June 2021. We got to NVC July 2022, DQd Nov 2022. I’ve heard a couple people received ILs April 1st that were DQd Oct 2022. Our time is coming..
  2. We had high hopes since Nov 2023 as we were notified by others that the timeframe was between 16-17 months from DQ and there were several who fulfilled that timeframe. That’s where we got the timeline from but since they have went back to prioritizing DV it pushes the other categories back in line in a sense. Based on the numbers I posted recently Oct 2022 should’ve gotten ILs in Feb and Nov 2022 in March, but yes, all we can do is continue waiting but it is VERY STRESSFUL taking care of 2 households as a single person for 3+ years without any good news. We’re ALL trying to be patient and hold on to that mustard seed..
  3. I make 17 months on the 15 of this month. Thank you for your encouraging words. I hope we both get our ILs soon 🙏🏽
  4. I’m in the same boat but I’m waiting on them to send my husband here to the US. This is crazy. I’ve been supporting 2 families for 3 years now. We have surpassed the 16th month mark and have no idea when we will receive our IL. I haven’t heard anything…
  5. Hi. I saw this post on my FB chat I belong to.. to be honest I’m not sure how to calculate any of this. I wish there was some sort of way.. I wish they could’ve kept up the same pace..
  6. I totally agree. I’ve been down all day with a migraine because of this.. this Friday makes 16 months exactly for me and the embassy seems to have slowed down. I haven’t heard anyone report for October 2022 DQ yet.. they are trying to drive us insane is what it seems..
  7. Nairobi is working!! Keep this pace up please and thank you. I’m looking forward to hearing something soon!! Cmon I NEED MY HUSBAND!!
  8. Yea nothing as of yet. I do check it almost every week to see if anything has changed… it’s still at NVC. The middle of March will be 16 months exactly so keeping fingers crossed and faith high 🙏🏽
  9. And by the way, today is my 3rd year wedding anniversary ✨️✨️✨️ Congrats to everyone who will be receiving ILs this month in advance!
  10. This is exactly what I stated earlier. I transferred my case thru NVC at the very beginning stages when I noticed it stated it was in Kampala from previous research. I wish you a speedy process and hope all Ugandans seeking an immigrant visa can become more aware of the process.
  11. Thanks. I am IR1 so definitely a different process. We have to go thru consular processing but should be receiving our ILs very soon! Best of luck to those who have a different process!
  12. When our case initially arrived at NVC it was under KMP also but I had them change it to Nairobi NRB because we’re already married and I knew from research that immigrant visas were not processed in Kampala for Ugandans but because he had visited the embassy prior to getting married trying to get a visitor visa, it automatically assigned Kampala and I was instructed that only k-1 visas were processed in Kampala. I instructed NVC to change the embassy early on as I didn’t want any issues down the road. Maybe Kampala changed its processes? I’m not sure but I would definitely inquire as I thought K-1 are processed faster in Uganda because this is a non immigrant visa.
  13. To my understanding Kampala processes non immigrant visas, which is the K-1 category. Only immigrant visas are processed in Nairobi unless something has recently changed.
