I am a holder of 10 years Green Card - I got it when I was outside of the USA in July, 2023 (we didn't need an interview, my husband sent it to me by post) (I left USA in May with Advance Parole) - I am planning to return to the USA on 5th February, 2024 - what do you think could I be not admitted to the USA? I was out of the USA in total about 9 months. My 3 years old daughter left the USA in May, 2023 together with me with Advance parole, her AOS is still pending (we need some additional vaccinations for her), Advance Parole is valid till 6th February, 2024 - we are planning to go back on 5th February, 2024 (just one day before Advance Parole expires) - what do you think could she be not admitted in the USA? If yes, what would be the reason? She was out of the USA together with me for in total about 9 months. I had to stay in Europe, because my sister is very ill, she needs help, she still needs it, we actually think that we are gonna lose her. We are going back to my husband/my daughters father who is the petitioner for the Green cards. My husband and my daughters father is living in the USA, he is American National (has American passport). Thank You very much for Your help!

Hello, my wife recently received EAD. Does anyone know whether her SSN will be sent to us soon or we should apply for it somewhere?

I received my EAD card by mail on June 25th.

I still haven't received my EAD card.

Have they already received their EAD cards?

May 5 - Application received at PO BOX May 17 - received mesages (2) May 19 - check cashed. May 21 - received NOA and RFE May 23 - received mail - USCIS online account information June 16 - done biometrics June 17 - work permission case status changed to Card is being produced. Does anyone know how long does it take to get EAD card after a/m status change? Thanks

You will get another mail within a week. You will find there online access code and all other information on how to create your online account.

I found on the internet that a year ago applicants for Green card had additionaly submit a form I-944 - Declaration of Self Sufficiency. It is said that CIS didn't consider Non-emergency Medicaid benefits for children under 21. So, if nothing has changed, maybe the same rule should still apply, even this form had been cancelled. I found the same info on CIS page also, if this information is not outdated.

Yes, I am. My wife and my child are not US citizens, they applied for green card.

Thank You very much Mike E! One more question, what do you think if we try to apply for State assistance concerning medical insurance? If we get approved medical assistance for our child would it affect our Green card application? May it be denied because of the approved assistance?

Hello, Mike E, My wife and my 2 years old child came to USA on tourist visa and they applied for green card. I, myself have no insurance. So my both relatives would be eligible to get insurance at healthcare.gov? Is this insurance covered by the State? Thanks!

We applied for the green card for my wife and my child after they came to USA with a tourist visa. Along with Affidavit of support we have sent only transcripts for the last three tax years. And we got REF asking us to add tax returns, W2 for the last tax year. Not sure why they've asked us to additionaly add it. Maybe there is not enough income, I'm not sure whether I correctly understood what the minimum petitioner sponsor's income should be for a 3 persons household.

Oh, thanks sooo much!!!!!! Maybe you also know how should i respond to USCIS. USCIS wrote like this: "Please include a copy of all pages of this letter with your response". Should I just send amended I-864 forms including USCIS letter or I should also write a letter (cover page) to them saying what i include (i.e. use the same format of a letter (cover page) which we've used with the initial submission).

Hello. I've received letter from USCIS to correct our I-864 forms. I have one wife and one child (2 years old). Ive filled two separate I-864 forms for them. How should I corectly fill in every form about household? I enclose photo how I filled in, but I dont know what is correct and what is not correct. There is how USCIS wrote us: "Provide a complete and correctly calculated household size for the petitioning sponsor on form I-864". So, 1. what digits should be writen in my wife's I-864 form in every item from 1 to 8? 2. What digits should be writen in my child's I-864 form in every item from 1 to 8? Would highly appreciate if someone could help us!!

Hello, May 5 - Application received at PO BOX May 17 - I received mesages (2) May 19 - check cashed. We have sent one package for one family: my wife and my child. I filled two separate I-130 forms. My wife and my child (2 years old) filled two separate I-485 forms, two separate I-131 forms, two separate I-864 forms, one I-765 form (my wife). I've got only two messages from USCIS. Now waiting for mail. Is it ok to get only 2 messages? I see that others usually get more than 2 messages. Thanks!
