ShaSha and I had her AOS interview on Feb 9th. We have plans to travel to the Philippines on March 8th for a few weeks. We have travel docs also incase green card doesnt arrive on time. Our question is ShaSha still has her maiden name on her passport but all immigration docs have her married last name. We used her maiden name on the airline ticket because thats is whats on her passport (Hope Thats Correct Thing To Do). Has anyone traveled with this situation and what did you need to do? We are thinking we should take marriage docs to show we got married. Any help others can give would be great, we dont want to have any problems.

My husband already purchased our ticket last september '08 & my ticket was my maiden name (same as my passport). Our flight is this coming March, my friend told me that once i have my GC no problems at all (but for incase i will bring my MC,etc...).Im so excited now to going back to PI.

I used Vonage when i was in the Philippines. It had a US TX number. It works. Its plug and play. You dont have to install anything on your computer (unlike MaJic Jack). You can call any US number for free and unlimited 24/7.

Once you subscribe to Vonage, they will send you a voice gateway (its like a router except it transmit digitized voice as a form of data). That voice gateway's mac address should be registered to Vonage with a preset-up US area code. So DONT buy your own voice gateway, let vonage send you one so you dont have to worry about compatibility or firmware issues. When you receive it, test it first. So you know it works before you send it off. I dont know if they still send Motorolla VT2142.

Shut down everything. So you just need to plug in the modem's ethernet port (usually yellow) to the voice gateway's internet port (usually blue). Then you plug in the computer to the ethernet port of the voice gateway (usually yellow). If you have a router, plug in the router's ethernet port (usually yellow) to the internet port (usually blue) of the voice gateway. Then plug in a regular (RJ11) phone to phone port 1. Restart with the modem first, then the voice gateway and the computer last. If you look at the lights, the power light should stop blinking, both ethernet and internet light should be lit then phone 1 should be lit. Check the phone if it has a dial tone. If it does then it works.

Tips: Its good that you chose PLDT dsl. Dont pick the measly packages. I suggest subscribe to anything not lower than 1 mbps. Why? Coz if someone uses the computer like play an online game or downloads movies or music... the line will be choppy if the speed is low. But mind you, it still works even without a computer plugged into it.

When you send it, use a private courier like fed-ex. Its fragile. And declare it as a gift or else she'll be paying major taxes (like i did).

My husband only submitted declaration about how we meet. Honestly speaking b4 i dont know about intent to marry,b4 my interview one of my friend asked me about that & i said no,so she gave & i only changed the name,address,date (me & my hubby).during interview & CFO seminar i brought that & they didn't asked...this is based on my experienced..

BC and CENOMAR- how many original copies i need to provide?

Well,as i remembered she had our all paperworks & the top she wrote down some & started q's us..our lawyer gave her pictures(esp. wedding pix),my paycheck,& i dont remember what else lol!!!! i think they already review the paperworks b4 interview..

The interviewer was nice & she only asked some few q's..she asked how's our wedding,how many people/witnesses we had,what's my name,my DOB,my ssn # but i don't memorized it lol & she said its ok & the rest are like have i enter the US b4,about arrested & deportation,etc..etc..etc...after that Congratulations ur Approved! wooooohooooo im sooooo happy....

Congratz! ur almost done..anytime u can attend seminar.but for me its better to go to seminar after u receive ur visa.like mine,i went to CFO manila after i received my visa & good thing i have my visa coz if not i think they will not released the certification coz i have no parental consent but im 23 yrs. old that time.They have no choice hahahhaahha....

I went to Social Security Administration this morning and unfortunately wasn't allowed to apply for ssn since my I-94 is exactly 14 days before the expiry date. They told me to comeback if I already have the Immigration docs after my AOS. We're gonna file my AOS next week. Just wanna be prepared in some of the requirements. Do you think tax returns will be necessary for affidavit of support and proof of marriage? my husband told me that my ssn is required for him to put me as beneficiary in his income tax returns while I wont have my ssn until I get my greencard..any answers will be appreciated..good day to all!!!

We are same situation.after i received my working permit i applied ssn & it took 7 working days.after i received my ssn we applied joint account for my AOS interview.

Help! I have a shirt wrapped around my face as I write this post. Some sort of small fish she cooks in oil, produces lots of smoke. It smells like the warmest day in gym class, only 100 times worse. It has been two days now, and I can't even go in the house without covering my face.

This is funny & nonsense hahaha.. i also cooked dried fish if my hubby is not here coz he don't like the smell.but he still knew it that i cooked dried fish lol!!! he said next time i will cooked outside but i said no way coz its so cold hahaha its ok if summer outside.my hubby no comments coz he know i love it hahaha!!!

Use air freshener but me not at all coz its only took few hrs. & gone hehehe...

We had are interview this morning in Boston MA and there was no problem bringing our cell phones.Lots of people around us where using there cell phones in the waiting area.

Remember to bring all originals of what you have filed, and copies of what you have sent to them. Just in case they missed anything, you have a copy. Whatever up-to-date bonafide evidence, like bills, joint account statements, make a copy for them too, in case they asked for it. I also brought a photo album too (family pics and travel pictures).

I saw others also brought phone bills to show they have been talking on the phone a lot. So I brought also. Bring the joint credit card/costco membership. Just bring whatever you think could be evidence. Remember to wear your wedding ring and be confident that you both know each other very well. Just stay positive is fine!! GOOD LUCK!!![/b]

About supporting evidence of our relationship that we lived together? Only health insurance & joint account we have now. How many evidence that we need to show them? Im so nervous now coz how many weeks left huhuhu...Please help me!

Hello my fellow vj's...i have q's: i received my working permit last friday & im planning to get SSN but i dont know if they will give me coz b4 we went there & the staff told me that my I-94 was expired & i will come back if i received my GC .
