December 2016 filer here. I was in line for interview on Jan 16, got the interview letter in June and the interview date was on July 11.
-
Since I applied under the 5 year rule, if I remember correctly, i sent a copy of my marriage cert and tax return transcripts. during my interview, the IO didn't ask for anything else aside from my GC & passports..
-
congrats @Waiting in Vancouver!!
Mine is scheduled on Sept 20 in Peoria! Let us know how it goes with your ceremony

December filer here. 6 months after my biometrics in STL, i had my interview in Chicago on July 11. As of yesterday, my status changed to being placed in line for the oath ceremony. When I sent my application in December, I thought the whole process would take about 5 months tops. Clearly I was wrong
Hang in there and wishing you luck!

Had my interview on July 11 in Chicago. I filed under the 5 year rule and i passed the test. Also got "a decision cannot be made..." but the IO told me not to worry and that i will hear back from them in 4-6 weeks.
Hang in there!

IO told me i shouldn't be too worried about it since he's recommending me for approval. Will keep you guys posted when i get any updates
Good to everyone!

IBP = Integrated Bar of the Phils
It was also pre-9/11 the time i was approved.. less strict. you're right, no way to tell if i'd get a visa if i applied by myself.
IDP? I don't know that that is. I'm not sure I'd say lucky so much as you didn't fit the profile (at that time) of someone who is expected to go TNT once they land at the US.
Since he was leaving a spouse behind I'm sure that helped. Not that we could prove it but I'd bet my right arm that you wouldn't have been approved if you weren't traveling with your Dad.
-
12 to be exact. As far as i can remember, consul just asked for his IBP ID and reason why we want to go to the US. Like i said, we got lucky.
That would have been about what 10 years ago?
What was you're Dad's situations? I'm assuming he was able to demonstrate strong ties to get approved. Maybe you're approval was kind of piggybacked onto his. You know they figured since he had the strong ties and you were traveling with him that you weren't likely to stay behind when he returned.
-
yeah.. i guess i got lucky.
for others in a situation similar to your's, the chances are slim to none.

I was a junior in college when I applied for my tourist visa (with my dad). I had no savings or whatsoever at that time. Consul just asked for my school ID & I was approved for a 10-yr B2 visa. I just had to emphasize that i was going to the US for a visit and come back to finish my studies.
What kind of things do you need to get a visitor visa for a filipina. My gf is in college. How much money does she need in the bank and for how long? What other requirements are there? Just point me in the right direction i want her to visit here. Thanks to all

Hi guys,
I am assembling our package right now.. and i was just wondering if it is safe to send copies of credit cards as evidence? I'm just very wary to do so because of safety reasons.
Thanks for your input.

Hi.. I adjusted my status from tourist visa.. during interview, we weren't asked about the intent but we have to prove that we have legit marriage.. we'll be removing the condition in 2 months.. good luck to your journey
You adjusted while you are still in the USA?
yes.. i got here june 07 then we got married nov 07.. my I-94 expired early dec so we have to submit the paperwork before that.. but you dont need to worry about being out of status after you submit the necessary documents.. your status will be AOS pending
