  2. Hi,

My interview was last June 23. I didn't notice that my police clearance in the Philippines doesn't have any dry seal on it. The interview was fine but the consul returned my passport together with all of our evidence of relationship and I was told to submit the police clearance the next Monday. June 28 ( Monday), Thai staff took my passport and police clearance and said they are going to call me up after a week. It's been a week now but I haven't heard anything from them.

  3. Hi, I had my interview last June 23, 2008. Simple questions asked like how did you first meet your fiance? Are you both engaged?(he glanced on my ring finger) Do you have any wedding plans? The Officer is nice but a bit tired he told me everything is fine just my NBI (police clearance) in the Philippines which doesn't have any dry seal(why they are going to write not valid without dry seal if they are not going to put dry seal on it grrr) and no thumbprint(silly me I should have bought black stamp pad and put my thumbprint on my NBI). So I was scheduled to submit the NBI (police clearance) on Monday July 1, 2008 1 to 3 pm. I asked him if I can submit that NBI earlier than Monday he said they only accept documents every Monday. We took that officers feedback as positive and we are crossing our fingers to get my visa soon.

  4. Hi,

I'm Theresa (beneficiary) from Philippines living and working here in Thailand for 4 years. My visa and work permit here in Thailand will expire on May 31. I'm planning to resign to the school where I work now by the end of the month. I called the Thai immigration office asking if i could extend by visa here in Thailand for a month to be present in the US k-1 visa interview on June 23, 2008. I'm upset because they told me if i will resign to my work and my visa and work permit will expire on May 31, after May 31 I have a week to leave the country. I don't want to sign contract to school where I work now because I am leaving. I am thinking what if i go back to the Philippines or go to Laos then come back here in Thailand for my interview. Am I going to have any problem in US Embassy interview for doing that?...Please advice.. what is the best thing to do.... Me and Darryl were too upset now...

Thank you in advance. May God bless us all.

    Theresa,

As a Philipino would you be able to at the end of your last week (after resignation) be able to make a visa run (to Laos) and return to Thailand on a one month tourist visa? Look in the bangkok post in the classifieds and call one of the visa run companies if this is possible. There are other possibilities but this is the easiest one I can think of. I DO NOT think that leaving and coming back will affect your US visa chances because I don't think the embassy will really care what your status in Thailand is.

    Hi,

Thank's for the advice....1 more question..Darryl's affidavit of support is here now he attached only 2006 income tax.He told me he's got the same income since 2005 because he is retired. Does income tax return need to be notarized?because his is stapled with affidavit of support and only his affidavit of support has notarized stamp.

Sorry for keep asking just nervous and excited.

  6. Hi,

Congrats to those who passed the interview!!!!!!

My interview schedule is on June 23 8am. While checking our papers me and my fiance(e) found some wrong dates on F129. Could you guys advice us what is the best thing to do? Darryl scanned his passport and he already sent the date stamp to my e-mail. Also, my visa and work permit in Thailand will expire on May 31. I'm just wondering if am I going to have any problem in the interview if I will not renew my work permit and just extend my visa? I don't want to sign our school contract because I will be leaving soon to be with my love(by Gods help).

Sorry if i kept asking. I emailed the embassy but they did not reply to our question.Thank you in advance.

    Daryl and Tere,

I don't understand your question at all. what do you mean your I-129f had the wrong dates on it? Wrong dates of what? Also, sometimes the embassy won't respond to the first email, so you need to number what email it is. for instance, if it's the 2nd email you've sent, say "2nd IV and include name of beneficiary and BNK number".

I am also confused. Are you the beneficiary or the petitioner? Why would you have a problem with the visa if you do not renew your work permit and extend your visa?? Are you already in the US? Are you on a work visa? What are you talking about a school contract?

I am so confused and have NO idea what you are talking about haha sorry! :bonk::)

    Littleasianman,

Thank you for the reply. Sorry my English is not good and I made u confused and laugh. This is Theresa from Philippines (beneficiary) wrong dates in I-129f (in number 18 on describing the circumstances under which you met...) and in his letter of declaration of continuing relationship..."we have different dates on the first time we met."

I am living and working here in Thailand for 4 years. My visa and work permit in Thailand will expire on May 31. I'm just wondering if I am going to have any problem in my interview at US embassy bangkok if I will not renew my work permit (resign to my school where i work now) and just extend my visa to be present on June 23 interview?

Sorry again for the confusion, I'm stressed out, nervous and excited........ I can't wait to be with Darryl (my fiance).

  10. Hi,

Thank's for the reply. I'm from Philippines living and working here in Thailand for 4 years. I've got my packet 4 now my interview date is on June 23, 2008 8am. Kinda nervous hope everything will be fine in the interview.

    Theresa

I'm confused. Is this for a Thai national or for a Philippines national that for some reason is interviewing in Bangkok for some reason?

I believe they update the list online once or twice a month. You can also email the embassy and they will reply within 2 working days if an interview has been scheduled yet or not. How long since you mailed your packet 3 in?

Also, be sure to check the Sawasdee thread in the parent forum.

  11. Hi,

I had my medical and vaccines here in bangkok. They have 2 accredited hospital here in bangkok, BNH hospital and Burmugrad. You can download the forms via US website just to be sure because BNH hospital don't have forms. I received my packet 3 but there is no medical forms there. I think medical forms are in packet 4...Im not sure because we don't have packet 4 until now.

  12. Hi,

Just wondering when does bangkok US embassy update their website for interview schedule. They received our returned packet 3 last 31 March 2008. Now 21 April we still don't have our packet 4. Is it true we are going to be scheduled 10 to 12 weeks after they received our returned packet 3? That is almost 3 months.

Also I have my CENOMAR now but I dont know what happened to NSO and to the person who proces my cenomar they wrote at the bottom for employment (abroad). Am I gonna have a problem with that or do I need to get new CENOMAR and change it and write for marriage purpose.

    Please advice.

    Thanks,

    Theresa

  13. Hi...

Can you guys advice me what is the best thing to do.....We are processing our K-1 visa here in bangkok. My visa and work permit here is going to expire this May 31, 2008. The consul received our packet 3 last March 31, 2008. Is it possible for me to be scheduled for an interview this May or just renew my visa and workpermit to be sure I'm not going have a problem with it later.

Thank you in advance for your advice.
