Try Across Travel agents in Kobe. They recently booked for me a one way ticket from Osaka to DC by 120000 yen. This is called 3 day advance ticket. The airlines is UA.The guy who booked to me is Mr. Hirayama.

This doesn't sound like a good deal. 120K yen is about $1100 bucks.

We're seeing R/T tickets for about that much (+/- $200).

The idea behind an R/T ticket is that you can keep pushing the return date out up to a year. If an emergency comes up before the ticket expires, you just pay the change fee, instead of having to get a ticket in a short time period (same day tickets could cost $4,000 USD or more).

I am not saying it is the cheapest but my case is different and I use one way. I wont be back to Jp. R/T are always cheaper than one way. But fuel charge for two way is 56000 yen while for one way is half. besides those R/T with 130000 yen are fixed one month , it means you cannot push the return date. No refunds. If you want to make one year open then they surely have different rate. Those one day tickets are always expensive.

  2. Hello,

I have been a member for a while but have not posted.

I'm getting more active in the community now.

My question is... I sent my application on 10/15/07. My NA1 has a received date of 10/17/07 and a notice date of 01/11/08. When I check my case online it states that my application was received on 01/11/08.

Which date am I looking at to check the Processing Times on the USCIS website. It better not be January because they are on July still. Anyone had this problem?

    Thanks,

    Devin

I think your question was debated with many VJ people. Different members have different opinions. Some say the Filing date is respected and some say NOA1 is respected. If you feel which they are refering you better call USCIS and ask them which they are refering. Some people claimed that there was an error. In our case I called and found out that they are honoring the application date ( unlike what you see on screen) and they have it on their system that our application is considered as october filer not NOA1 which is january. We called one and half month ago before being approved. We never get any touch.

  3. Hang on Shrew.

We were really too much stressed before we get the approval. VSC is slow, sad but true. Our case also have nothing extraordinary to be behind most october filers.Straight forward case with no RFE requested. But you see some people approved faster than you some late. My opinion is if you use IR1/CR1 , things are a bit slower than k-3 since we will not have AOS. It will pay off later. the wait is generally equal.

BNM, were you one of the people who received touches to their file in late-April/early-May?

    That's great! Celebrate! :star:

Thanks Arkington. WE never been touched. the first touch resulted in approval. But I applied back in October which kind of late copmated with most approvals.

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated as early as September 11, 2008*.

For more detial insite and service center speed etc you can try to find similar timelines in the profile. But for more I recommened you to see the excellent tracking charts of Delica and Eresh
