Hi guys, a bit off topic but where did you guys had your medicals done and how much were they? I live in Perth and we’re due for our medicals and I was shocked at the cost. The clinic said it can go up to $1200/adult and $400 per child. There are 4 of us so imagine how much it would cost.  Its  frustrating cos they’re the only panel physician here in perth. Is it usually that much for the medicals?

My situation is a bit different, i’m a nurse on employment based sponsorship and i have a visascreen (they last for 5yrs) that’s expiring in a few mos time plus my employer requested to have my case expedited cos of severe shortage of nurses plus covid etc. Fortunately they approved it .

Not sure about the wait time.. we were DQ’d by NVC on Feb 12th this year and still waiting for NVC/Sydney consulate to schedule our visa interview.

Hi, i was DQ’d 1st March. My case was successfully expedited so I received an email from them early in the week to say that our interview will be for next week thursday. It was very sudden we didn’t have much time to prepare. Our medicals will have to follow cos there isnt much time to do it before our interview. I’m still trying to find out if there ‘s a way for us to do the medicals over east cos the cost to have them done here in Perth is such a rip off!

Any update on the current wait time from DQ to Interview Date especially for those who were expedited? 

Does anyone have an idea if NVC gets back to us quicker if we have incomplete requirements prior to the actual review or is that the actual review already? We completed the DS260 and civil docs Jan 7 and on Feb 2 (less than a month) we received a follow up correspondence from them asking for a missing document (overseas police clearance). We sent it to them the following day but haven’t heard from them since. Was the initial correspondence the actual “review”? Also, if I submitted an additional document does this mean I will start the queue all over again
