Why did you have to go three times??
-
thanks for you support
this is how crazy I am, on top of the check they cashed they put the EAC number and tried to check the status but it doesn't work on their website
You cannot check your status online using the application number that was written on the check you sent or on the noa1 that you will receive.
You will have to wait to receive your biometrics appointment letter before you can check your status online as that will have a different application number - hope this helps.
yeah, I figured that when it didn't work lol
thank you

I think they charge and arm and a leg to begin with
anyway, what bothers me is that we pay for this and they act like they don't have to answer to anybody, they keep the paperwork for as long as they want and nobody says a word to them. The best is when you call them they'll read info off their website like I don't know how to read in English, I need someone to read it to me. ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I hated going through this for like 18 months for the I-130 so now I get paranoid... Sorry, I just wanted to share my happy news that they cashed the check lol

Yay my new 10 year greencard arrived in the mail today. Good to see on the card it says it expires on 12/3/19, just seems such a long way off. Anyway 1 year from now I can apply for citizenship and I will then be finished with USCIS forever, which sounds like heaven right now.
One thing that puzzles me is that despite not having a biometric appointment I manage to have a photo and fingerprint on my greencard??????????
anyway good luck to everyone else.
Congrats
you didn't even have a biometric appt??? strange
good for you

I got legaly married in 2007 but my wedding was on July 26th 2009, I actually waited because I wanted to go and get married in my country because my grandparents lived there.
My husband and I had the same dilema but we decided to send them. I just put a little explanation.
good luck

hey honey
I was just gonna send you a message bc I was too excited yesterday lol
ok, his interview went very well and not at all what I expected.
His appt was at 9am and they called his name and told him that all his documents were in order and he wasn't missing anything and asked him to come back at 1pm.
He went back for the interview and the gentleman who interviewed him was young and very nice.
He asked questions like:
How did you meet?
When did you meet?
Where did you meet?
When did you get married?
How many sisters does she have?
and then asked if he had any pictures of me, my husband had the photo album that I sent from here with all our and our family's pictures. My husband told him that he had letters and cards that I had sent but the gentleman said he only wanted the pictures and as he was looking through them he was asking my husband who the people in the pictures were.
I had pictures of everyone, his family, uncles, aunts etc and my family uncles, aunts, grandparents so that was good.
He was asked to sign on the second part of the application and they gave him a number and asked that he returns on Wed (tomorrow) to pick up his visa.
I hope your fiance's interview goes as smooth hon.
good luck

Congratulations.I'm a bit shocked, ..was looking at your timeline, and i see that the whole process had taken 1 year for you ...(... such a looong loong time, sorrowfull:((
Happy for you guys, really:), good for you, congratulations !!!!
Unfortunetly hon it does take a long time and all of my paperwork was sent FEDEX so that it didn't take as long. I hope yours doesn't take as long.

Hey everyone,
Ok I'm still too excited to talk but my hubby just called me and he got approved. They told him to go back on Wednesday to pick up the visa.
I can't believe this, it's like a dream.
Thank you all for being such a great support.
I haven't gotten the details yet but as soon as I do I'll post them to let everyone know of the questions.
lots of love and God bless

I can't believe they give you a 9am appt and it's 2pm there and he is still waiting. My father in law just spoke with him and he said he is still waiting. I didn't want to call him bc I'm too nervous and I don't want him to be nervous too.
this is the worst.
I hate waiting

in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Posted
Hello,
My father wants to send a form I-134 (affidavit of support) for my cousin, she wants to come and visit the U.S with her daughters. My question is, does form I-134 need to be notarized?
thanks for your help
