    SOME ADVISE PLEASE!!!!!

    We sent the AOS package on 7/18/2008. After 10 days we received NOA for all 3 applications.We await the biometric appointment letter....NOTHING....On 8/15/2008 we received an email from USCIS of an undeliverable mail notice. We called customer service and was told that if we don't received anything after 30 days to call back. We explain to him that there was no address change and that we beleived that this was our biometric appointment letter.We waited the 30 days and then made a infopass appointment. We went to the USCIS office in Jacksonville and the officer there told us the undeliverable mail was our biometric appointment letter. The officer was kind enough to let us do the biometrics while we were there.

    One week after the biometrics was done we received a letter from USCIS office in Missouri with I-797 duplicate notice of action requesting that we must wait until we receive the biometric appointment letter.I cannot understand why we would received such a letter like that. And why from Missouri since we sent it to Chicago. Has someone had the same experinences????

    Congratulation!

    Congratulations to everyone who has gotten their EAD and AP. After 2 months of waiting and one undeliverable mail notice a call to the customer service line and a info pass appointment, finally on 9/15/2008 the biometrics was done. There has to be a better way of doing this. :blink:

    Yes, we'll definitely wait. It just got me all worried since we don't want a delay w/my husband's EAD....he needs to get to work asap. :D

    Yea,I wanted that too. Although there's few mistakes with my paperwork, but still hoping that it wont slow down my case. Goodluck and God bless to all of us :thumbs:

    I work for a company that provides proof of employment through a company called The Work Number. Basically it is a website that verifies employment for the company. My question is this acceptable for when I provide proof of employment. Has anyone had any experiences with this.

    There is absolutely no use in calling the USCIS for information! I had a simple question to ask- After the USCIS receives my additional evidence for the RFE, does my waiting start all over again as if I had just filed anew, or does it get some sort of expedited treatment? The person who I spoke to could not answer. I could tell that she was reading to me, word-for-word, from a manual or computer screen. She kept repeating to me stuff that was already available on the website.

    After about 10 minutes trying to re-phrase my question to maybe make more sense to her, she finally told me that she thinks that it goes to the bottom of the stack and nothing will be done on it for at least 60 days. @&%@*&$#(@!!!!!!!

    My only advise for new filers- Follow the guidelines on this website very carefully so you don't get a stinkin' RFE. I listened to someone who had gone thru this process already and his wife is already in the states. I thought that he knew the process. As well meaning as a friend might be, go by the guides on this site- it's much easier.

    You don't necessarily go to the back of the line but you will have to wait a little longer. I received a RFE and had to wait another 2 weeks before being approved. I think it all depends on what evidence they require. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

    I haven't forgotten those that weren't approved believe me I know how hard it is, forgive me but I'm still in shock, I just found out this second!!!!! I wish all of you the best!!!!!

    I'm now going to Brazil to spend the rest of the time with her, does anyone have any idea more or less how long until our interview?

    People with RFE Blues

    People with a RFE need to band together to see what progress is being made in our cases. I have noticed that once you received a RFE you seem to go into a black hole where you cannot find out anything about your case. Maybe if we join together to find out ways to get information about our cases maybe the wait will be a little less painful. My example received RFE on 02/19/2008. Responded to RFE on 02/20/2008. Received email notice on 02/22/2008 saying that they have received my documents of evidence. Touches on the 25th, the 26th, and the 27th. I have called called twice using the RFE trick and still no news. If you feel me please reply.

    It always seems like nothing happens on Mondays, or it is notoriously slow for approvals. Here is wishing, hoping, praying.. whatever it takes, to get both service centers to unleash the NOA2's!

    It will be nice to see October rocking again! Good Luck! :thumbs:

    According to my timeline I should be seeing some kind of movement around 11th March. :unsure:

    I can't believe how we've resisted the temptation to call.....lol

    Although my SO has itchy fingers right now.

    The only reason I am calm is because i'm off to Dallas on Sunday for two weeks work training, so one way or another I will get 'bleedin' touched :devil:

    I'm going to keep spying on Lucian as we're so close. So watch out guys, I'm on your case......lol

    RFE Problems

    I received a RFE on 02/19/2008 and responded on 02/20/2008. On 02/22/2008 received email notice saying that the document was received. Since then I have 3 touches in a row on the 25th, 26th and 27th. After that nothing no update or anything. I have called twice and no one can tell me anything but that my case is under review. Has anyone had a similar experience.

    I have had an almost identical experience, this is drving me nuts, it was the same thing, they received my evidence on the Feb. 26 and had about two or three touches in a row, since the 29th though, nothing :crying: and my timeline here on VSC says I should have an aprroval by Feb. 8 :wacko: ahhhh I just want this NOA2 :angry:

    Yes this keeping you in the dark is crazy :angry: :angry: Have you tried calling.
