I just received a package for my wife interview in Lagos for June 12. We already submitted all the originals of our forms to them. Do you still have to tale the copies of the forms for your interview. Do I have to send LAST year tax form also. Thank God Finally My wife Got her interview date today excatly 8wks. I think The U.S embassy Nigeria is one of the busiest in the world. She will have her interview on June 12. We pray for God's favor on this date. Any one having an interview in Nigeria in may or june?

As of yesterday our case has been completed at NVC. With one RFE it took 90 days from NOA2 to completion.

We were using James' shortcut and I believe this save us apx 2 months.

My hubby and I are so happy for this part being over.

We don't have an interview date yet in Nigeria. Our case was just completed on 02/25/08. I just want to know the documents that are required so that I can start gathering them together. Secondly, if you have had your interview at the Nigeria embassy what is your experience and how long did it take you to get interview date in Nigeria from NVC. Our case is CR1 Thanks in advance.

Just heard my case was completed on Februari 25!!!!!

The RFE (passport pictures) was entered into their system on the 20th so it took only 5 days to complete : )

I did not include the passport photograph with my spouse ds230 this is not my fault I did not know those knucklehead require it when they send me the form. Also I receive a REf the same day I receive my ds 230. The reason for this is they fail to send me the DS 230 on time, so they decided to send both the ref and ds 230 the same day. The question is can I use the old REf to send the pictures or should I wait for them to send me a new ref. My ds 230 is yet to be reviewed and the automated massage said they are still waiting for the first ref that came with my ds230. Pls advice. Thanks in advance

The Husband of my co worker was denied a visa at the U.S embasy in Ethiopia . On the bases that they dont have enough evidence, even though they provided the marriage certificate and other documents. Pls advice what else can she provide as evidence. Thanks a lot

If this is your first time sending anything to the NVC you should send it to CMR, now if you were responding to the checklist letter you would send it to DR. Hope this helps

I got two envelop from NVC. One says I should download the DS 230 and send it to their office ATTN CMR. The 2nd said CHECKLIST and I should mail that one to the same address ATTN DR. They said in the 2nd package I am missing DS 230 MIND YOU THEY SEND ME THE 2 PACKAGES THE SAME DAY. What does this mean. Secondly do I have to send all the original documents and are they going to return it b4 my wife interview. Thirdly, how long does it take to get interview date in Nigeria. Thank you all for your assistance.

I sopke to NVC some few minutes ago, they told me that all my papers for my wife are fine. They told me they will send me the packet for her I can fill it out for her and she can just sign it. They said I have to send to them a photocopy of her passport, police report, birth certificate and marriage certificate. I ask them whether she will be going for interview at the Nigeria Embassy , they said no that she does not need that ,that this is a new thing they are doing. This is for CR1 visa. Has this happen to anybody b4. I spoke to them 5mins ago. I will get the package next week which is a new year. I am yet to get the DS 230 FORM FROM THEM. i JUST PAID FOR THE VISA.

i believe from what you have said your spouse should fill it out, sign it, and mail it to the NVC. your spouse is the one who needs the VISA, right?

also, u can download the DS-230 form from online and have your spouse fill it out and send it to you ahead of time. when you received the coversheet from the NVC for the DS-230, just send the form your spouse filled with the coversheet and you should be good. (you can also save more time by using Jame's shortcuts to generate the DS-230 coversheet once you know the NVC has created it and attach that to the form your spouse sent you. this will save additional time.)

So, I prayed using the Book of Easter as my right b4 God. The book of Esther talks about unmerited favors. I use Esther 2 vs 8. It paraphrase something like this from KJV. It says everything Esther needed for are purification was given to her SPEEDILY. so I told God I need his Angels to carry my wife's papers from where its now to where it needs to be approved it was down that Monday. I use this same scripture and the book of Daniel and in 9min I became a Citizen. I told God as long as I pay my tithe you said you will rebuke devourers from my case. I tell you, tell God your right and prove him. Pls always thank God . It say in everything give thanks, stop murmuring and complaining. The lord who started a good work in you is more than able to perfect it. I have a phone card I use in Washington DC. it is called DMV DEAL for two dollar I can call my wife for 45MINS ON LANDLINE and on cell phone with Code 807 only for 1hr I use this everyday for the past one yr it works. I call her 3times a day and it has help a lot in our relationship.

I am a new member and it is nice to be on this forum. I dont know weather this will encourage anyone. I got married in Nigeria on June 9, 2007. and I filed the I 130 on july 9th 2007 . It was sent to VT, received and I got the notice of action on june 16. It was approved on Nov 5th. It has been sent to the State Dept National Visa center for further action then they will send it to the Nigeria Embassy, The good thing about this, is when I spoke to them on Nov 3rd they told me they are processing April 18th. I dont know how they got to my papers that fast but I am glad they did. The key here is have faith in God.
