  1. congrates khurrram bhai, wish u all the best for future too.

ANYONE HERE APPLYING FOR THEIR SPOUSE WHO'S NOT AN IMMIGRANT TO THE U.S.??? Also, how does the Embassy send their #######...TCS?

Here's to those in the process....and to those who have made it through the fire.

Alright, I'm sorry, I know I'm obnoxious....I'm just trying to sort between the information between here and what i've been told via the u.s. website and other sources. Will someone tell me what the process is now that the case is in PK? I know the packet 3.5 has been sent (on the 30th). What is in it? What will it require of us? And what follows....I thought I read on here Packet 4? what is in that and what is required? We just want to make sure we have everything we need to and get it as soon as we can. So far we've not had any hang ups in the process (all paperwork has been done correctly and such) and we'd like to keep it that way. THANK YOU FOR ANYTHING !

  2. hello everyone can anyone tell me what u get in 3.5 packege for CR1and do u have to do the medical with 3.5and send it to embassy or u get it afterword

Hey all....okay...I'm reading the gov.state website (cause I'm foolish to think they may give some valuable information) and it says the DS230 is required with the Packet 3.5....DIDN'T WE JUST DO THIS??? My husband had to send it to ME to send to NVC MONTHS ago..is he really going to have to fill out a new one and send it in?

  3. The joint sponsor must meet the requirements for the number of people in their own household plus the intending immigrant.

I think you qualify with your assets added but it might be easier to get an I-134 from Dad than to get your house appraised.

    Thanks Pushbrk

My dad makes enough according to the poverty guideline. He'll only have to he can care for my wife, himself, and my mom.

Do they consider household people that live in your house or people you've claimed on Income Tax Return ?

You will need to get about 3 years worth of W2 yearly statements, 1040 Federal Tax Returns, letter of reference from bank, letter of reference from employer, and most recent 6-12 months of bank statements and send most 6 -12 months recent paystubs. This is all documentary proof that you or the cosponsor has stable sustainable steady income above poverty line to support your K1 finance. You can send photocopies of all that stuff they do not require originals, only I-134 f signed and notarized by each, and the letters of reference. Assets are not really something they focus much on, they are more interested in your monthly cash flow and ability to support a K1 finance until they are able to get EAD or AOS greencard to go look for a job, and that could take about 6 to 12 months on average or longer.

    Hi zqt3344

My bank doesn't give letter of references. I dont have 6-12 months statements since a large sum in my account was recently deposited. I do have a paper stating my current balance.

I dont even have 6- 12 months pay stubs. I was working 3 days to now I am working 4 to move closer to the 125% line. So this increase of pay was recent. I do have a letter from my employer.

My dad just recently started working. He can only submit one pay stub and an employment letter and the monies from his savings and checking account.

    Thanks

Big alarms are going off in my head with all this recent change in finances but I think your best bet is to be the sole sponsor, using current pay stubs and bank statement to make up the difference. Although it is often argued, there is anecdotal evidence that using a joint sponsor in the PI is pretty iffy. Your Dad's short employment record may not help you in the best of circumstance.

I would def. get the joint sponsor if they can prove what needs to be done.....you don't want to get all the way to your interview and find out you need one (I've been reading the horror stories on here). Secondly, my bank tried to tell me they don't do the letter either...I took them the instructions from the u.s. webpage and explained to them I NEEDED this information for my husband's visa...they got out some letter head and typed up a letter for me on the spot. (I sounded more desperate than demanding which probably helped). BEST OF LUCK!

  4. *Asalam-Alaikum(ww)*,

    ALHUMDOLILLAH ALHUMDOLILLAH ALHUMDOLILLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband got a call from the embassy yesterday, they said they isued him a visa, all they need is New police certificate becuz his old one expired... all he has to do is submit hi certificate and come pick up his passport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY WOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I am so happppppppppy, masha'Allah, Alhumdolillah.

I wish all of you the best of luck... insha'Allah. May you all hear the good news SOON, insha'Allah Ameen!!!!

    Congratulations

Hey guys, I'm so excited, they mailed out the packet 3.5 already to my husband from ISB!! I was curious, and this is for EVERYONE, how many of you waiters are NOT of Pakistani origin....and not an immigrant yourself. Basically, how many gori/goras do we have out there. I'm wondering if this is affecting certain things for people. Congrats to everyone and best of luck to everyone THIS SYSTEM SUCKS! At least God is better than any Govt.!

  5. DONT WORRY AT ALL, YOU WILL RECEIVE IT REALLY SOOON THROUGH NORMAL POST. And it takes time sometimes 2+ weeks.

And if you dont receive you can order another one from Embassy AND

for saving your time a tip for you

Download DS-230 (all two parts) from www.uscis.gov and fill them completely and accurately

This is all you need to fill in Packet 3.5

SO good luck and you can write me if you need my help..

Be very careful about your stuff when they say it was sent...that you actually get it. When my now husband and I were going through the fiance' visa process they sent him his packet from ISb in Dec...but we never knew it...it took getting a statesman involved over here to even find out what was going on to find out what had happened (since NO ONE was answering the phone over there). They sent out a new packet and he got it in less than a week. HE called TCS and reported the issue, they just happened to find his first packet the next day.......idiots! If you know it's coming, I'd start trying to track it asap. BTW, how did you find out it was coming?

  6. I'm reading your timelines and I'm so confused. Everyone who has immigrated has told me that basically, you get a letter from the embassy that says when your interview is and a list of dr's that are approved, you have this time before your interview to get your paperwork and med stuff together. When you go to your interview you find out right then and there if you're approved. The way it was described was...they tell you leave your passport and pick it up the next day with your visa.....is this accurate???

The first part is right ... you do get a letter that lists doctors to get medical done and interview date. However, you only get an idea on the day of interview whether you need to go through AR/AP. If they don't put you on AR/AP than you generally get the visa in ten days, if your application requires AR/AP than it can be a longer painful wait. I haven't seen next day visas lately.

what is ar/ap? any idea who has to get something like that......any idea how long it takes to get the interview letter from when the stuff leaves the states? You can't call the embassy anymore, they say you have to email or fax.....yeah right!

  8. Hey, I'm new here and attempting to shift through the information...maybe someone can help. My husband and I have been going through the process since last year, but as of Oct 18th his immigration visa paperwork left for ISB. We are very happy and relieved! I was wondering if anyone has any idea as to how long it will take from here on. I emailed the embassy and all I got was "it depends on the case". Not even a ballpark figure, which at least even the idiots over here will do. Does anyone have any information, even just from their experiences? I've met Pakistani's who managed to take a simple few months start to finish....even his brother's fiance' visa took less than 6months.....but we haven't been so lucky. I appreciate any help, opinions, etc. As with everyone on here, we are so tired of being apart......and he's missed our daughter's first year growing up and that's just added depression.
