My wife and I got our interview notices this morning. Applied 8/3/21 in DC. Interview is May 14th early morning. Interesting it’s on a Saturday. Regardless, thankful that the notice is here. Now to prepare for it!

    Quick update:

We had our interviews last Saturday and were one of the first interviews of the day. My wife and I were interviewed separately (5-year rule). Both of us were done and approved in 15 mins.

The officer that interviewed me was super nice. After swearing me in, the civics and English tests were done. Then she updated the N-400 form (new address, significant travel since filing) and said I was approved. She sent a message to the officer that was interviewing my wife to see if she had also passed (I found that interesting, possibly also cross verified the new data and/or our answers).

    The status instantaneously changed to

“Oath will be scheduled”. Now patiently waiting for the oath date!

    good luck to all!

  2. My wife and I had our interviews this morning at the Fairfax, VA office. We both passed and are now placed inline for the oath ceremony. Here are the questions I was asked:

    1) What ocean is on the west coast?

    2) What are the first 10 amendments called?

    3) What is the capital?

    4) What war was Eisenhower a general in?

    5) Name on state that borders Canada

    6) One right for everyone living in the US

Then we updated the N400 form with changes and additional travel since the application was filed. Done in 15 mins. Here is the timeline:

    Applied: 8/3/21

    Biometric: Reused

Interview scheduled on 4/13 for 5/14

    Waiting for Oath.

    Good luck to all!

    Hi all

I have analyzed all the cases in Visajourney Timeline (here) that have been filed between 01/01/2021 and 09/30/2021. There are 371 cases that have been filed during that period and received interview. The following table shows the probabilities that I extracted from those cases. For example, from the table, 50% of cases have received interviews within 168 days from their filing.

Another example from the table is that the probability of receiving an interview within 256 days from filing is 80%.  You can check the table for other probabilities. Lawfully app is also providing the same information but you need to pay them.

Super helpful! Thanks for putting this together. Waiting since Aug 3, 2021 at the Washington DC field office. So hopefully something soon.

  4. Hi all,

My wife and I submitted our N-400 forms on the 5 year basis (applied at 4 years, 9 months) in early August 2021 and are still waiting for an interview notice. We got our biometrics reuse notice instantaneously when the application was submitted. Since then the status says "actively reviewing". Anyone else waiting here that applied in the July/August timeframe?

Also, we are moving addresses in April and I went to my online profile and it says, I can't edit the address during this part of the adjudication? Not sure if that message has always been there or a recent addition. Should I just submit the AR-11 form online once the address is changed?

    Many thanks!

Hello CAAS.. Did you receive any updates for your N400? My estimated timeline changed from 7 months to 6 months today. But I have not received any updates about interview

My profile also now says, "You cannot edit your mailing address or physical address during this part of the adjudication process." I think it showed up a few weeks ago, was def not there in early Jan. Do you have this as well? I wonder if this means anything more than what it reads!

At the bottom of this page: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

When you enter N400 and your local field office: Washington DC, it shows the earliest date when people can send an e-request to USCIS for inquiring about their case. For washington DC, that date is

    August 31, 2020

so if your app date is after August 31, 2020 USCIS owes you no specific reply.

For further trends, you can use the case tracker and filter it for your city. For Dc area, looks like everyone who applied before August 2021, has received interview notice:

    https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op4=1&op5=&op6=All&op7=Washington DC

So if you are in August, the end might be just a month away at most. Hang in there!

    Thanks! Hope we hear soon!

Hello CAAS.. have you received any updates on your N400 form?

I applied July end under 5 year rule. After biometric reuse, there has been no communication yet. But i see few of them who applied in July in Washington DC area have already got their interview this month. So just hoping for the best

Hi Ghm - nothing so far on this end either. We are in the same boat - applied under the 5 year rule on Aug 3 and got reuse notice instantaneously. Crickets since then. I was thinking whether sending a message from the account to ask on the status will do anything? DC area seems very slow.
