  1. Does Issued mean it has been mailed, or is that a different status message? I noticed it said it was last updated on September 9, case created on September 7 (when our interview was).
  2. Yeah I figured it would take longer. They told my fiance he would probably get it in a week though, and our interview was the 7th. It's just confusing for us I suppose
  3. It says "Issued. Your Visa is in final processing. If you haven't received it in 10 working days, please see the web page for contact information of the consulate or embassy where you submitted your information. "
  4. We got approved, but they aren't sending his passport out. I don't understand why. It's been a week, I read online it only takes a day or two. I'm getting really sick of this. Once they process it they are supposed to mail it out, but I keep checking the tracking number and nothing is popping up. I emailed them and they said basically, "sorry we don't know how long it takes". Ugh.
  5. That's great. It took me all of yesterday but I was luckily able to get everything. Thank you very much. I hope it all goes well. I can't wait to see my fiancé again
  6. Yes this is for the interview he will be attending. We have been together since 2018. I'm finding it hard to know how many chats to have, we have too many messages to go through. I have heard the interviews don't last long either, and I don't want to take up too much of their time. We haven't seen each other since he last came here and we applied for the k-1 after, so I assume it would just be chats and other stuff along those lines. For already submitted evidence, would that be stuff like our I-129F evidence? Would chats maybe every few months and on holidays be good? We already got the financial part approved so all we need is proof of our relationship luckily. I might write a document from me about our relationship just so they have some info about how we met and whatnot.
  7. What sort of evidence can I prove my fiance and I have a valid relationship? We have been together since 2018 so we have more than 800k messages to sift through. Would screenshots of games we play together, texts/emails, and pictures of gifts he has sent me good? I sent him some letters so he is gonna photocopy them. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
  8. I guess it had to be manually approved. I just seem to be impatient. We have the interview date for September 07, and got an extension. Everything is going well! I cant believe I will get to see my fiancé so soon now!! Thanks for everyone's help!
  9. To schedule an appointment it said we had to pay first. Now it says this. Your request to schedule an appointment has been received and will be reviewed. You'll receive an email once your request is approved. Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back?
  10. I finally got the notification that we can schedule the appointment!! But now they won't let us? We paid the fee a few hours ago and now it says that after paying we must wait for the consulate to approve it, again?.. what now?
  11. They might have changed it during the pandemic. I had to gather everything then send it in. This was in accordance to the packet three email they sent me. No interview date yet. I thought it was as you thought too. I have been communicating with them, so potentially they only do some cases that way? Unsure.
  12. My embassy/consulate is self scheduling. My fiancé sent in the packet 3 a few days ago. I wonder how long it takes for them to review everything? I haven't received word back yet.
  13. Do they automatically send it at 60 days regardless? Mine got sent at 55 days. But they won't tell me how far their backlogs are at the consulate. I hope I won't have to wait too long for an interview. I miss my fiance
  14. Thank you! No interview date yet. They want to review our paperwork first, then they will let us make an appointment. I hope their backlogs aren't too long. I wish there was a way to check that but there only is for nonimmigrant visas that exclude fiance visas.
  15. Sounds good. I did that too. Since I'm the US citizen filling out the form for my fiance, do I fill in anything at all on the section for the beneficiary signature and boxes? It's labeled as part 4. It says he doesn't need to complete it since I'm the one filling it out for him but I'm not sure if we need to check any boxes or anything like that
  16. If I submitted both, do you think they would mind? I would paperclip them together. I'm just really nervous about making sure everything is all good.
  17. Does anyone know what part of the 1040s the consulate would want? Mine are like 50 pages long. I don't want to take up too much of their time. Is it just the 1040 and the schedules? Or should I just submit it all to be safe? We are mailing in packet 3 tomorrow. I'm really excited.
  18. Sounds good. Ill probably just complete this without the lawyer then. I already sent my fiance the forms signed and he wants to do it again and just resend. Shipping is like 100$ so I think Ill just do it lol. Saves us time and money. We agreed to do auckland because his birth certificate states two different districts/suburbs within auckland. It would be better to probably just generalize and they can check with documentation. The US consulate is located in Auckland though, so they should probably know.
  19. 1. I will list this. Strangely, most tutorials online say to not include this for some odd reason. On one article I found it says it doesn't really matter too much either way, but I will include it to make sure everything is correct in paperwork history 2. The birth certificate says the same as the passport. It is a suburb of the city Auckland, New Zealand. It seems like the suburb was listed for both. I will put that on the form. I am thinking it should be fine that we put Auckland on the original petition, since it is technically the same city. 3. I will do that. My lawyer did make a form that he just sent me, but included my fiance's income for some odd reason. I have my own already filled out, so it might just be best to use mine. 4. I will put N/A for empty spaces. 5. This one confused me too. My lawyer just sent the form and it says that I intend to contribute but to room and board indefinitely. 6. Should I remove taxes from this amount by chance? And my lawyer has been pretty inactive since we got packet 3 on June 27th. It has upset me quite a bit because I am trying to get everything to work. He kept telling me to just keep waiting and that we only need the DS-160 turned in. He doesn't seem to know much of what is going on because this consulate requires us to send in everything and only have to bring the passport and evidence of our relationship to the interview. We are almost done though. Just working on this and the form from my bank stating my balance and whatnot. I'm excited to finally see my fiance again. Perhaps for the rest of the process I can either do it myself or hire something like boundless.
  20. I have some questions about the I-134. If someone could help me that would be great. The first question in about the Alien Registration Number/A-Number. This form is for a fiance visa. However, I saw that the A-Number was on the NOA2 approval letter we got in the mail. Would I put this number on the form? Nextly, for my foreign fiance's birth town, he was born in a suburb of a city. This suburb is listed on his passport as his birth city. However when we first filed the petition we put the general city as the city of birth. Its basically the same city but just a suburb. Which should we put? For the Beneficiary's income section, he currently has a job but of course once he moves to America he will have to quit the job. Would I put the earnings from this job down or would it be okay to just put 0? Also, since he has no assets, would we just put N/A for every section in that question? On the intent to provide specific contributions section, would I just put that I intend to make the contributions and am doing so by paying room and board indefinetly? He will just be living with me and I'll be providing for him completely. For my income section, I make $20.50 an hour. Would I put the amount I would make in one year for the total amount or would I put what I have made so far? Please help me if you can. This is very difficult for me unfortunately and my lawyer has stopped helping.
  21. Does anyone know what the validity date on the NOA2 is? We are struggling immensely getting everything for packet 3. I think we might be almost done but I don't know. Will our visa completely expire if our interview isn't by the date? I'm so worried.
  22. My approved petition arrived okay, but everything is a mess. My lawyer isn't very competent and my fiance is always confused about what's going on. I have to watch every single little part of the process that I paid the lawyer to do, and the stress is eating away at me. Even the check list we got from the consulate has inconsistencies and I just am so confused. We have had to correct the DS-160 several times and it still isn't right. My fiancé tried getting the police clearance but I think he messed it up. I ask my lawyer questions and he is completely out of touch. When getting the police clearance it says that I have to mail it in but on the actual police website it says we don't get a physical copy and that they send it directly to Consulate, so how can we? Do we send them my fiances actual birth certificate? It says I need to submit my financial info like my last paystub and my 1040s, but my lawyer doesn't know how far back I should go with the 1040s (I'm guessing 3 years). I have to have all this stuff together to even get an interview. It says arrange a medical appointment but I dont know if it has to be completed before we schedule an interview. What a mess... If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
  23. Just after you sent this I got the email. Holy cow I'm so happy!!! Yay! It says however that it's an immigrant visa, which is weird, but maybe they just process it like one? I am so happy now. I thought this was gonna be so long.
  24. Sorry for posting so much, but I feel somewhat lost and confused right now. It took almost 400 days for the USCIS to approve the petition and just to keep waiting just feels so horrible. It's been 55 days, with nothing. I sent an inquiry May 23rd but haven't heard anything. Does anyone know why this is occurring? Could it be that the consulate currently has no open interviews? They were closed for 8 months, it's the one in Auckland, New Zealand. I find this to not be right though because on their times that show how long getting an interview takes, their non immigrant interviews take 100 days or so. I know this doesn't apply to K-1 visa but I figure it would give some look into how busy they are. Or is it something like they haven't received my case yet? I'm just not sure. I've been doing everything I can but I can't stand not having any direction and feeling so lost. My lawyer doesn't seem to care but I'm scared of what to do. I can't call the consulate because they never have a real person on the line I can talk to, and the NVC doesn't answer. I look at their times, but they didn't even update them yesterday. Maybe due to the holiday? I'm not sure, but I'm losing hope. I don't get it.
