  1. Yes. We already had an approved K1 beforehand but we cancelled and abandoned if for the CR1 since our K1 hadn't moved in 2 years.
  2. We just got DQed. Our original submission date was 4/24 and we got an RFE for an unclear birth certificate on July 7, resubmitted the same day, and we got DQed today! I was scared we would have to wait the 75 days again but I guess not. Good luck everyone.
  3. We were on the same boat. We waited almost two years for our K1 and then we ended up getting married online through Utah. A month after we were married and before I went to go visit her, we got an email that our K1 was being transferred to the embassy (AHHHHHH!!!). I asked around if we could still go back to the K1 because I didn't want to wait for the whole CR1 process, but we figured it was going to be too risky so we stuck it out. Our CR1 process has been fast. We applied for it on January 2, 2022 and we are one week away from potentially being DQed from the NVC and transferred to the Manila Embassy. Yes. we had to wait longer but it helped that I was able to visit her, and that when she gets here she will be able to start working immediately.
  4. I have been to Manila three times but I am never bothered by beggars or scammers because I am Mexican and they confuse me for being Filipino and people think I am a local. It is quite funny when people talk to me in Tagalog and I stare at them with a blank look. They look back at me as if I am dumb.
  5. First off, I am very sorry to hear about your father. I also lost my mother 2 years ago to cancer and it was tough not having my now wife with me during those times. We recently sent an expedite request to the NVC while waiting to be DQed and we received two emails about 18 hours apart. One email states that our expedite request is under review, and the second email states that: "The U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines is willing to expedite this case when we have all fees, forms, and documents and your case is documentarily complete. If NVC determines you have paid the necessary fees, submitted the required immigrant visa application, Affidavit of Support, and supporting documents to NVC, you will receive an email that your case is documentarily complete. If you have not already done so, please pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at https://ceac.state.gov. Please note that only the U.S. Embassy has the ability to approve or deny expedite requests." Does this email mean that our expedite request has been granted? We just have to wait to be DQed?
  6. That's great! Glad to hear that. I guess we will take a shot at expediting our case as well.
  7. Our process is also moving along pretty quickly. We turned in our I-130 paperwork on January 2nd and we are currently waiting to be DQed at the NVC. What reason did you use for expedition and did you expedite after being DQed or while waiting to be reviewed?
