My brother is in the process of a CR-1. His wife is already in Hawaii. He has sent his bio-data to the NVC. He has been given a 4 week time line for his medical appointment. It is now 6 weeks and he hasn't heard a thing. Should he call the U.S. Embassy in Manila? All input will be very helpful. Thanks , Kat

Just thought I would come over and say HI... ok your brother is in the process of a CR1 so his wife is the USC??? his "bio" are you referring to the G325?? or has he already gotten his approval from USCIS and NVC ? Has he gotten his appointment letter from NVC about when his appointment for interivew is? I would love to assist if I can just don't know anymore than what you've given.

Hi thanks for your input. Yeah his wifw is the USC. Yeah he already got an approval from USCIS & NVC. He is just waiting for his medical and interview appointment. My question is, does he have to wait for the NVC or Manila Embassy to schedule his medical and interview or he need to call the USEM to arrange his medical and interview?

My wife wants to book a flight within the U.S. to see family. We have already completed the biometrics for the AOS. At this point just waiting. Can she travel now? I hoped just taking her Florida ID, marraige cert. and all the Notice of Actions, and of coarse her passport. Can she travel with these documents? thanks

No, she can´t. She needs an Advance Parole. If she leaves the US she will be denied when she comes back.

Notice of Action are useless in this case

She is flying WITHIN the U.S.

Yes she can. I would take all these docs. That's what I did traveling Philly to Chicago in the beginning of August. They only wanted to see my passport but I was "insured" with the other docs- in case they asked. Oh and my visa was expired- but we were of course already married (K-1), I understand your worries.

She is going alone. Will that be a problem? And, I assume that booking the flight in her married name is the right thing too do, thanks....please respond

We have been having problems getting my wife's FL I.D. in her married name. I was told we needed to fill out the I-90. I looked at that form, it has nothing to do with that. We brought out marriage cert., SS Card with her new name and they keep giving us a hard time. Anyone been through this too? Thanks

Thanks for the input, all of you. It is my understanding that some people have recieved their clearence direct to them even though the HK police website says it will send it to the Embassy. What ever works,I dont care how we recieve it as long as some one gets it. It will be some time before we get our NOA2, but I am getting all the info I can so I will be prepared to explain to my wife how to go about this process.Take care

i wanted to be sure when my fiance and I marry..............her middle name is her mother's maiden name, she said her last name would become her middle name, then mine her last. I thought ONLY her last name would change. Does it matter? Any help? Thanks

I GOT THAT INFORMATION IN DELBROS SHIPMENT TRACKING SYSTEM. I JUST ENTER MY CASE # AND THATS WHAT I GOT......... AND FINALLY I RECEIVED MY VISA THIS AFTERNOON.

Hi, Theres no need to get a request letter for Police Clearance in the Embassy, just attach the letter that you received from the NVC and the NOA2 together with the other required documents. I just got my Police clearance in HONGKONG last April and they didnt ask for the letter from the embassy... Hope this would help

my friend is having her interview on may 22, and she requested her police clearance from HK and singapore last month, will it be sent directly to the USEM in maniLa or to her, and what if the police clearances will not arrive during her interview, what will happen to her visa? she will be accompanied with her fiance during her interview......

anyone have the same experience like this??

Hello friends, I just need to vent, ...........Is it so hard a task to mail something from Hong Kong to Manila? Is this rocket science????????? After all the paperwork we go through, your life together stems on a simple task of mailing a police clearance in a timely manner 35 days should be ample time. If I was to work so slowly at my job, I would be gone in a week!!!!!!!!!!! Aside from chest pains, I'm doing just fine!!! I feel like I am letting my fiance down by all this , yet I have no control. You all know the feeling...when things are out of your control.........thanks for listening.

Hello friends, well it started on Nov. 19 2007, and my fiance just went through her interview with flying colors on the 29th!!!!!!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!! Oh, but there is a hangup......her police clearance was mishandled in Hong Kong and was just mailed to Manilla the 21st and they havn't received it yet. This may be a hard question, but anyone here had the same problem, and know what kind of time frame we are looking at for them to get it, and release her Visa to her...by mail. I already booked her a flight for May 15th, anyone with any input would be appreciated, thanks, and good luck!!!! Glenn

Hey, if you want to pay your Visa fee, you just go to a nearest Bank of Philippine Island near you and just tell the bank teller that your going to pay the Visa fee. They will tell you how much u pay in peso which is equivalent to $131.

I work in hongkong before and now I'm already here in the Philippines. just want to ask if you also submit a letter from the embassy to be able to get a police clearance in Hongkong? I've got all the requirements needed except for the letter from the embassy here in Manila, because I'm not sure if I they will let me go inside the embassy to secure a request letter for police clearance. Do u think they will grant my request even without it.

Hello my friends!!!! Received approved NOA2 and working on I-134. Here's my questions...On the Oath or Affirmation of sponsor, of coarse I'm the sponsor....who fills out the rest? Any Notary? Do I need to go to my Bank with my Mortgage Statement, Life Insurance Policy, and proof of other property for them to complete this? Very confusing.....any help would be appreciated, thanks, Glenn
