  1. yes good point! More info on the types of SSN here - https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/cards.htm
  2. Hey there. Good question and I'm not fully sure on the answer but i can share my experience. I changed jobs during my extension period. At the time, I did not have my new green card but when the employer asked to provide information of my status I only uploaded my NYC Driving License and my SSN. This was enough information for them to accept and not ask questions around my GC. I've heard of stories in the past that in some cases you may be asked to upload the extension letter and the expired GC as proof. If the employer says they need a valid GC you should push back and say this is enough proof for I-9 verification.
  3. Yeah I appreciated the comment earlier in the thread! Smart idea on digital. Will make a copy. Thanks!
  4. Update on the application for those interested. Received the receipt to extend my conditions by 48-months today. Timeline; - Filed/sent on December 30th 2023 - USCIS Received application on January 2nd 2024 - Check was cashed on January 8th 2024 - Received Receipt of Extension in mail on January 18th 2024. Hope this is helpful.
  5. hey Deb. Did you file your I751 to the Illinois office? If so, Mine was delivered/received by immigration on Jan 2 too - so I imagine we are on the same timeline. Haven’t got receipt yet
  6. okay thank you everyone. Does any of you know what happens or what you recommend if I don’t receive the letter before the expiry date on my CR1?
  7. Hey Visa Journey. I’m curious what the timelines are to receiving a receipt to the extension of the I-751. I know receiving the removal of conditions takes quite a while but how long after they receive the application do they process the receipt? I filled a little late in the 90 days window - sent on December 30 2023 and my CR1 expires on January 23 2024. thanks for your help and advice, CF
