Sure enough, I got approved today April 2, 2008. WOot. Thanks for everyone support, now to the next step ~~.

I checked my case online and my NOA2 has been approved today APRIL 2, 2008. (I think they skipped yesterday because it was April Fool, haha)

So I called uscis on Friday Evening. March 28, 08
I was very clam and nice. The lady I spoke with responded nicely and told me as much as she can.
I asked about what status (see timeline) because it's been over 90 days since my NOA1. She had no idea because she is not the person who files, but she checked on the last process/updates for VSC, and she said they were on September. And the fact she told me it would probably take another 3-4 months for approval. :''(
####### is all I have to say, but I just said thank you.
So I'm not sure how true this respond was from the operator. I hope I get my NOA2 soon as I have tons of plan for summer.

Please try not to worry too much (I know easier said than done). I also spoke to a very, very nice lady because for some reason I was unable to see my status on line for 3 days. She also told me it could take another 8 weeks or so before I would get my NOA2 (I had called the week before my approval). I was also touched on 2/17 and I was approved last Thursday 3/27. I'll keep you in my prayers...wishing you the best.

STILL NO NOA2, check my signature and timeline for my last updates from USCIS. I'm I the only one left from VSC as a December Filer?
I'm getting very worry, because I was expecting to have my fiancee here this July.

There should only be a petition for your fiance/fiancee. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
CSC usually takes longer and hang in there.
I notice you're petitioning for someone in China. Check out the website below for more information.

USCIS hasn't posted the 2008 guidelines on their site yet. Here is a link to the 2008 guidelines. However, you will have to multiply the amount by 1.25 to come up with the USCIS's 125% requirement.

For 2 people, 125% is $17,500 (they upped by about $400-500)

O man,.. My fiancee and I have the same last name, CHAN . Which is sort of a common last name. I hope that won't slow down the process.
But, really my English name is Tanffy and I don't think that is common because I'm probably the only one with that name.
Anyways, don't give up your hope because the process is a bit longer than you thought.

I think Asia or any other far distance countries will take longer. I mean look at my timeline and sig. Although i have been touched Feb. 17, 2008. I'm still waiting as of now. I hope to get my NOA2 early March

Well, from what i understand we need to show proof of an on going relationship. Other than my few trips to spend time with my fiancee, we only communication via Yahoo I.M. Why are you sure this is not needed ?

Ongoing relationship evidence is not a requirement for the initial petition but will be at the consulate interview... If you are only petitioning concentrate on the type oof evidence that will get you approval.... IM's will not....
SO if I use MSN Messenger chats and PRINTSCREEN of us via web cam, it won't be valid or enough ongoing relationship evidence????
