  1. I updated my timeline in the signature section For me it is/was a very smooth process! I'm extremely happy about how everything worked out
  2. Thanks! I did not need any other documents as well I went there yesterday! I was a very easy process. There was a line, but once I was in the consulate everything went very smoothly! Everything from waiting in line until I was back at the car took about 90 minutes
  3. Congratulations! Hope your wife's visa will arrive soon Did she bring any documents with her for the interview?
  4. I'll try to update it. We asked for permission to do DCF on the 13 th of September. Sent i 130 on the 19th of September. So if everything is going to work out. The process took less then 2 month for us.
  5. My interview appointment is on tuesday next week 🥳 I checked their list what to bring again: is it really only my passport and the fee? I'm really concerned that I will forget anything. I already put together a small package, with ds 260, affadavits, wedding certificate, pictures, another passport picture...
  6. Hi, I know that the thread is a bit older but maybe some of you are still active I have my interview appointment on tuesday next week (we went through DCF as well) Can I also pay the fee cash? I do not have a credit card and I'm pretty sure that they won't let my husband into die consulat 😕 and how much is the fee?
  7. Hi everybody, My husband and I are living in Germany and wer're almost done with the visa process 🥳 So we are currently looking for moving companies.. Has anyone had good experiences? Any recommendations? Thanks
  8. I tried to log myself in.. now I'm banned for 72 hours 🤨.. Earlier I hit Schedule Appointment and it wanted me to go through the same questions as before.. no calender.. well I have to wait until I can log myself back in again..
  9. Me again... sorry I feel so stupid.. the request just got approved.. But were do I find the calender? I logged into my account and everything look exactly the same ..
  10. Thank you! I just love this community and especially this thread! Everybody is just so nice and helpful! hope you got an appointment in time
  11. That's what we thought too! Imagine what one could do with all the personal information 🤯 DHL is really not helpful at all when it comes to "lost" items. One question: when you request the interview appointment, will they just give you an appointment or how does it work?
  12. Mine too! Huge relieve though: the consulate answered my email and said that they received the documents! So DHL "just" forgot to scan it or whatever. I called DHL several times and asked them what happend but no one could tell me what happend! Anyways... they received the documents and that's all that counts
  13. YAY! Congrats! You won't believe that but DHL lost my package! So We're back to gathering all the documents! I'm so upset you can't imagine!
  14. "We accept documents in English or German. All documents not in English or German must be accompanied by an English translation. Translations must be certified by a competent and registered translator" Well sorry for my false information 😔 This is what I had in mind and what we received.
  15. yes, you can use german documents for filing DCF in Germany. They seem to be jammed at the moment, so don't worry if they don't get back to you soon.
  16. Hi, I have found a few similar posts about this topic but they were about 10 years old and I did not get a real answer! I'm currently in DCF for a CR1 visa. Before we started the visa process we planned a trip to the US to celebrate our weddig there with the people which could'nt be here for our weddig in the beginn of 2022. I think that my visa will be done before we will leave for the trip. We were planning on beeing in the US for 2 weeks, comming back to Germany for 3-4 Weeks then move to the US. I'm guessing that my GC won't arrive within the 2 weeks we're there... Am I able to leave the country (without the GC) and come back 4 weeks later without ruining the process? Thanks in advance!
  17. CONGRATS! What's is your proposed travel date? I had my medical yesterday! Everything went well! If you're looking for a medical appointment call the doctor on Munich! I got an appointment within a week!
  18. It was ! I did not expect the approval at all at that point... Imagine my reaction when I got the email. One more question: Do I also need to provide any information about the salary I would be receiving in the U.S as part of the offer I sent with the I-130 petition? I have been living and working in Germany for the last six years and my most recent tax returns only reflect my German income. The amount is sufficient for the I-864 according to the poverty guidelines. However, if the visa is accepted and we move to the U.S., my salary will be significantly higher and that is not reflected on the current form. Thank you again! You are all very helpful!
  19. Hi guys, Don't be mad at me but we already got the I130 approved. I will have my medical on wednesday in Munich. I have one question regarding the tax return information associated with the I-864. In the email below, it states that I need to provide an official IRS-generated transcript for my most recent U.S. tax return (2021). In the I-864 form and the instructions it states that a photocopy of my records is also acceptable. Would a photocopy be acceptable in our case? Thanks again!
