  1. It does not for us too as we are expecting to leave at the exact same date as you (Direct flight from Paris to Seattle with air france for the 2 of us and our 🐕) Didn't booked yet but we will soon.) but some people are really waiting that ITW to be able to go to the us so I can understand the worry ! (Direct flight from Paris to Seattle. Didn't booked yet but we will soon.) Congrats for the little one 🥳 I agree, that's almost impossible to have that kind of huge peak in new cases !
  2. I was thinking the same thing ! We just submitted our documents and now saw the 2 months delay ! Mistake or not, we'll have to wait again and again 😁
  3. Thanks a lot ! we will see but I will probably pass the test in Seattle, 1 month is pretty short to do everything !
  4. @Chancy thank you very much for this very helpful information you gave me ! and also sorry to haven’t post in the right part of the forum. 3. I know that Washington state does not accept exchange of my French DL but if I reside in Massachusetts or New Hampshire (states where we will get to for the first month before moving to Washington), could I exchange my French DL to a Massachusetts or New Hampshire one(because they both accept to exchange DL issued by France) if we only stay 1 month in these states before moving to Washington? or the best and easy option is to use my French DL until we get to Washington and pass the test. (I assume I can use my French DL for 3 months) I am sorry for the dumb questions but my wife never lived in the US unless when she studied, when she was younger so we don’t really know about how it works in the us !
  5. Hello everyone ! It's been a while I haven't post anything. We are still waiting to pays the NVC fees to not get the ITW too early as we are planning to leave early of May (Probably 5/02/2024)! I have a few questions, here there are : 1 : I guess the waiting time from being DQ'd at NVC to the ITW being scheduled is pretty fast in Paris ? 2 : By the way, I should get the 10 years GC as we got married the 4/30/2022, right ? (Even if it's 2 days past the 2 years rule) 3 : Do you know how long does it takes to exchange a driving license ? ( French ) 4 : We already know that we will go to Seattle, WA at the end of June 2024, what addresses we should give the immigration ? The DMV ? The IRS ? We will stay in my wife's family houses either in Massachusetts and Washington. 5 : I assume this is not a problem for the immigration to get to Massachusetts for 2 months then go to Seattle, WA ? Thank you in advance for the answers ! Denis.
  6. No need ! I renew mine while my I-130 was pending and it has been approved without RFE.
  7. Thank you ! We received our welcome letter yesterday ! Now, we are just going to slow down the process as this is too early for us.
  8. Thank you ! I really hope you get yours this week too !
  9. We just received our NVC case number and Invoice ID number today ! It should be pretty soon for you @AlyshaT1
  10. Congrats !! For those who have been accepted, would you be willing to share your ncv timeline please ? My case has been sent to NVC on June 2 but haven't receive anything yet from the NVC
  11. Let's keep us update then ! I guess our petitions will be send by mail as it is taking very long 😁 They also replied us the exact same words !
  12. You mean NVC (not USCIS) is working on cases received from June 5th ? And NVC wrote me back that they haven't received my case yet .. We are not in a rush as we are planning to move in June 2024 but just wondering why it takes so long to receive a case. I guess they are not sending them by mail 😂 I will keep you update !
  13. Small world, we did send one and just got an answer 15 minutes ago. It says that they did not received our petition from the USCIS yet. Isn't it weird ? Because USCIS says on our account that the petition has been sent to the DOS on June, 2, 2023. BTW, sorry to have had put this topic in the wrong forum
  14. We did check both spam folder every day and nothing 😔 I Also check on the USCIS account and in the I-130 petition that we gave the correct emails, which were good. We never received anything via email, even from the uscis. The only thing we got was the NOA1 in June 2022 and that was by mail (we're living in France)
  15. Hello everyone ! As mentionned earlier in June 2022 filers, our I-130 has been approved on May 26th with no RFE and find the approval notice in the document tab (We did not receive any mail or e-mail). It says the case was sent to the DOS on June, 2, 2023. As of today, we did not received the welcome letter neither by mail or email. In the NVC website, processing times state that : "Current case creation time frame: As of 20-Jun-23, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 5-Jun-23" Is there anyone in the same situation with about the same date ? I just hope everything is ok ! Thanks for the feedback
  16. Just to tell you that our petition has been approved ! PD : 06/09/2022 1st AR : 12/30/2022 2nd AR : 05/26/2023 Approval : 05/26/2023 Approval came from CSC however were were first at NSC. No RFE and no K3 !
  17. I will ! We are looking to have the ITW around January 2024 as we want to leave in May 2024. We will wait September/October to send everything to the NVC. Paris embassy does not look like it's a busy one. Not sure how to know but it seem there are no backlog so pretty fast if no "red flag" I checked your timeline, you just been approved under a year, that's cool ! Congrats 😀
  18. We are working on this currently ! A few banks allow you to open a bank account while living oversea w/o being physically present (Bank of america is one of them) and they do accept you to use one of your family's address. Honestly, I have no idea if that matter and I don't think so. You will, once arrived, change the branch as we can do in France.
  19. We are almost in the same situation as we are living in France. As far as I know, as we don't have a US domicile, you have to prove that you intend to re-establish your domicile in the US by giving some fact : Bank account, voter registration etc etc. For your revenues, as you don't have a job in the US and unless you have evidence that the income will continue, you can use your assets if fou meet the poverty guideline ( Not sure but I think you must have 3 times the poverty guideline to be assets qualified )
  20. Thank you ! Could you please share when you will get your interview ?
  21. Thank you Chancy ! I thought it was faster to get the welcome letter, almost 3 months ! 😲
  22. Thank you for your answer ! Hopefully it wont take too long to get an interview date. So without any missing document, it would be around 3 months to get DQ'd. Still waiting for our I-130 to be approved. PD is 9th of June 2022, Nebraska SC so about 2 more month waiting.
  23. Hi Eric, Hopefully you can manage to get your son and your wife interviewed together at the same time. Can I ask you to share with us the timeframe from the moment you get DQ'd to the interview being scheduled ? ( Once your wife and son will be scheduled obviously ) Also, how long did it take to get DQ'd for your wife ? I'm asking because mine will also be at Paris embassy and we might slow down the process, depending on the time to get the ITW scheduled. Thank you ! Denis
