Thank you. They requested an updated medical and updated passport pictures from me back in July, but I could not get an appointment with the medical examiner till late August. I sent them my documents first week of September and it took them a couple months to review my updated documents but by then my criminal record check had expired, so they requested a new criminal record check. I could foresee this being an issue so I had a new criminal record check performed in advance and had it ready to go. Soon as they requested a new criminal record check I sent it in which was a couple weeks ago. And now im issued !!!

Just thought I would give you guys an update and share the good news. As of Dec 6th the CEAC portal is showing issued!!! I have not received an email yet but the in the portal it says my visa is in final processing and should be mailed to me within the next 10 days! 😀 What a journey, been waiting since 2019. I am so thankful it is coming to an end and I can move on from this chapter and start my married life with my partner. To everyone else waiting, stay positive, i know its a struggle, and its not fair, but it will happen for you too!

Havent been here in awhile, thought I would come provide an update. Late August my new medical was done since the old one was expired, I have sent the consulated my criminal record check, pictures, and passport. My case shows updated a day after the tracking number showed package delivered. Lets see how long it takes from here. Anyone else send them updated medical, passport, pics, criminal record check etc and got approved? How long did it take from when you sent them the documents?

I contacted Telus Sante Montreal Medical Clinic to book another appointment for a new medical. They only have 2 doctors qualified to perform these medical examinations and they are very busy. Priority is given to those who have interview dates. Since I already had an interview, I am not priority to them. They asked me to call back in 3 weeks to see if they will have any availability to can schedule me in for August and set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that time slots will be available to me for August. The system is so broken from start to finish.

I appreciate all the congratulations and support, and I am optimistic that it wont be much longer, but lets save them till I actually have a visa. Considering the backlog, I wonder how long it will take from here, I am hoping within 60 days.

I did not file a lawsuit. I think cases are just starting to move along. Had my interview in October 2021 so its been a long time coming.

I received some good news. On Friday July 8th I was contacted by the consulate by email and told to continue processing my case to send them a new RCMP background check, new medical (old one expired), 2 new passport pics and my passport. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Hopefully not too long from here.

I had 3 updates in the month of June, first sign of progress this year. I am hoping the end is near, but I wonder how its going to work with the expired medical. How about you Ice Cube? Any updates on yours?

I recently requested my passport back, it took them about a week to respond to the request, but once they responded they processed the request immediately and i received the passport within 2 business days. The sad part is, that was the only real update on my file in months. Going to start reaching out to lawyers and proceeding with WOM next week. I am interested in WOM

No update here, last update was March 16th but I am pretty sure that was related to us requesting a senator to inquire.
