Ok, so I had an Infopass.

Lady in first window was nice and quick. Asked me about the reason of my visit (EAD!! ), my I-765 NOA1 , zip code, then asked me to go to a next window. Lady sitting in there was taking -as my hubby said- beauty nap... and no , I`m not kidding! So I just looked at Him and smiled (but soooo wanted to go BOO! ) heheheh (yeap, I know, I know, not before I get my EAD, right???!!!! ). She asked me to fill up I-765 application again. After that they went to check what was going on with my EAD. After 10 min another lady (very nice and awake one! ) called my name and told us that we have to wait 30-60 days or more for it to come. Of course I didn`t like that answer at all. This much I already knew from USCIS customers service. I didn`t want to leave and was about to ask for a supervisor, but my hubby started asking questions. She finally offered she will make a quick call to MSC and get back to us in a while- if we are willing to wait a little bit. Ooooo I was soooooooo willing to wait! Even till next morning just to get any idea when I can expect my EAD! She came back to us and said we should get it in 2-3 weeks!!!! I truly hope so!!!!

guyyyyysss i m the only one here left without anytouch on my aos since biometric and no interview letter ,,my case status says CASE RECIEVED AND PENDING ,, ,,,, till now i did not recieve any RFE ,, absolutely nothing ..... who else here at the same situation as me ,,,,,, helloooo is there anybody here ,, or just me ???

Hey Saed4! Don`t worry!!!! I`m in the same situation! Actually, I just went for an infopass-to finally get my EAD (because I haven`t received that yet!!!!! ). I`m not sure when exactely I`ll get it, but I hope in next 2-3 weeks-just like the IO told me. We will see.

Yay, we were approved at our interview today! We got a really nice AO, she was professional but still friendly. I didn't have my actual birth certificate (I guess the mail system ate it, even though it was registered mail) and she was disappointed, but said she would work around it for now. We wrongly assumed that any approval would be pending her seeing it. She just asked us for documents from the list on the letter and for evidence of our marriage. We probably have less than some people, but it seemed ok. She seemed particularly pleased with a mother's day card from my stepson and a two page hand-written affidavit from Jon's best friend. She looked through our photo album/scrapbook but didn't keep anything or ask many questions. After asking the standard 'have you been arrested' type questions from the form, she took my passport, found a blank page and stamped the 1-551 stamp. She never actually said 'you are approved', just went on to explain how she had ordered production of the card. It was a quick and pretty painless experience! If you'd like to know more, I am posting a separate thread in the 'AOS from work/student/tourist' section.

Just a quick update - we had our interview yesterday and were approved. My online status has changed to "Card Production Ordered".

i got another RFE today in the mail. first one was amonth ago and it was about affiditive of support and they asked for W2 form of my wife and she has W2 form cause she is self emlpoyed and self employed has W2 form and we wrote letter explain that to them and also she has a house she can use even she make enough money to sponsor me.

today we got another RFE about 2 things one about my I-693 medical and i gave it to them at the airport but they i guess they lost it !!!

and why they didnot ask for it in the first Rfe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they also asl for joint sponsor even she make enough money and we sent them her tax papers.

about the medical examination i can do another one but about the sponsor i dont know what to do with that!!! anyone has the same situation???????

if we contact our senator that will help?????

Iam in the same situation .I received the mail yesterday both asking for a new physical and new affidavit of support and i posted it under and rfe from california.iam also a june filer.i know it's frustrating . iam given until november 28 to send them the needed documents back. I have been scheduled for a medical appointment next Monday and illtry to look for another family member of my wife and see if they can help .May Allah help us.

I got another e-mail from the ombudsman."I am sorry to hear that you have not received a response yet. I understand your frustration and I will forward your case to the Customer Assistance Office at USCIS. You should receive a response shortly "

BTW-I just called USCIS and asked about service request I put in on Oct6. They replied to it on Oct 21 (but since my case is not available online, I have no way to see updates -> so I call and call and call ). They said that my EAD is under review now, and (READ IT and SMILE or laugh-just like I did) I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 60 days for the decision to be made. I would get my EAD possibly in December...hmmm... "how nice Xmas gift would that be"?->I thought at first but then a wolf woke up in me-> HOLA , HOLA HOOOOZE! They gotta be kidding me! I`m about to lose my sense of humor here... and that doesn`t happen often-if at all! We can`t have that! I have to go for an infopass then

PS. I`m staying calm but really feel like kicking some a$$ here!

I`m happy your infopass went so good! If I won`t get my EAD in next 3 weeks, I`m going for one too! Hopefully, there will be no need to do so-> hmm...I wonder if that means that I keep my faith and stay positive or maybe that I`m naive at that point?! Time will show!

OMG it's tomorrow!! lol...we are doing ok, just going over our package of stuff to take and hoping we have everything. I made a big 'us' scrapbook last night with all our birthday/valentines/anniversary etc cards and photos (been meaning to do it for ages, just for us as well as this!) Right now I am freaking out as my mum sent my birth cert to me two weeks ago (registered mail) and it still hasn't arrived...if it doesn't come today I won't have it to take with me I have a copy but hope they don't withhold possible approval if I don't have it to show them! I'll post about our experience when we get back tomorrow.

We had our AOS interview today at Chicago office, and there is not much to report. The interviewing lady was just extremely nice, treated us with utmost respect, and was also very efficient. It seemed like she had decided beforehand to approve us, as she asked only a few basic questions. She did not even look at any pictures we had brought along even though we had not submitted any with AOS application. After saying we were approved, she asked us if we wanted to keep the EAD and I-94 for now -- in case there is a job offer in next few days -- or deposit with her as was required. We chose to keep it till we get the green-card, so she gave her name and USCIS address to send those items once the green-card was received.

One other thing is that we had only submitted DS-3025 with the AOS packet. It was not transcribed to I-693, nor was any additional test/vaccination done. During the interview, she looked at the DS-3025 sheet for a minute but then moved on. So it looked like that is enough.

His winking just meant that he wanted me to play along with his story. Maybe you don't have this kind of body language gesture in Poland. It wasn't anything rude. You should get an info pass because I feel like my call to USCIS did nothing even though they sent an email to NBC.

Kstar, of course "i have THIS and many other kinds of body language gestures" in Poland ... that`s why I said I WOULDN`T mind it at all! All I meant was that talking to a friendly IO , who would really try and help with pending EAD (by doing more than just say famous "you have to wait" line ) is quite unusual!! That`s all.

Well I called to USCIS and they said they will put in some kind of email and then I should wait 5 days to get a response from them and they didn't respond. So tomorrow I have an info pass appointment and I will tell you how it goes.

Funny you wrote that because I called USCIC again 2days ago and they told me the same! The man I talked to saw that I put service request in about 8days earlier. He decided that he will "write" some kind of e-mail saying that I`ve been waiting for my EAD over 120 days and it needs to be taking care of asap (he did it with me on the phone). He told me to wait 30-45 days and if nothing changes-to call again (another 30 days!!! ). Awesome, gotta "love" USCIS!

That`s my update -which is no update at all actually!

Anyway, hope your case (and others who are still waiting ) goes much better than mine!

I finally got my EAD.. and also I got two touches on my AOS this week, one yesterday and one today. In total I got 6 touches on my AOS but my online status has not changed yet. I do not know what is going on.

Congrats to everyone recently getting their EAD/GC and good luck job hunting! We have our interview next week, I am still stuck at home as I have to do exams to be able to work in my profession here, so am studying full time for the next exam in early December. We're really hoping we'll get an answer at the interview and be done with the process for a while!
