I went over to the BioMatrix offices and there was no one there...Monday afternoon rush hour.

and so I asked and gave a good reason as to why I'd like an early (walk-in) appointment, and they were okay with it....being that they were standing around just jousting with each other.

I had conviction on my side.

Hahaha!

Now I feel free to travel a bit, unencumbered.

Completed early biometrics today! We got to the Kansas City office around 830am and there were a few people ahead of us. The people were so nice and we were out and done before 930. Nobody even asked us why we were there before the actual date. So, now the waiting goes on...

Hi Spirit. I believe you can only change a bio appointment for a later date because supposedly they generate dates for us at the earliest possible time. However, if you feel up to it you can take your notice and try doing an early walk in biometrics and see if they take you. Some ASC's take walk ins and some don't, you'll just have to try and see or wait for your date and be guaranteed a slot.

What a simple and awesome idea.

I used to work as a lab technician...and so shtuff like this still grabs my attention.

There's no consistency.

Perhaps with the holidays thrown in there, it will be longer for us too.

With the NOA that extends our permanent residency for a year, I imagine I could drive to Quebec and back and not have any problems??

Received the NOA today in the mail.

Receipt date on it: July 8th which in my humble opinion means nothing because i only here of it today.

And so...today feels more like the receipt date.

Remember, while you're waiting, you're all permanent residents. Your waiting time counts towards citizenship eligibility. You can travel, work and do anything you want. So there's nothing to worry about while waiting on your approvals

This is a good thing to be reminded of as I'd like to visit Montreal and have been leery.

I'm having trouble articulating....money is meaningless when it comes to true value of something, someone, some place, some experience...etc.
