Once these documents have been submitted, we will review your case. Please follow your CEAC Home page and nvc.state.gov"

Do you mind elaborating on the interview process? :)

Do you mind telling me when your ceremony was? :)

My ceremoney was scheduled 21 days after the approval of my application (interview). My field office was Sacramento. I applied for the passport on the same day (expedite) and received it in less than four weeks. So everything from interview date to being to travel took less than 2 months. I hope this has helped. Good luck.

At this point, i just want to say i am done with waiting on this N400 process. This is so ridiculous .I filed 09/06/2020. passed my process time, put in 2 service requests, no response. the decent thing to do is to give me a call back. THIS IS NEVER ENDING.

The wait us awful. I waited for 15 months and was frustrated toward the end. I hope your get to hear about the  interview soon.

  5. I had my interview today in Sacramento office. I am glat my n400 application was approved. The whole process did not take more  than 25 minutes. The oath will be done later. I cant beleive my journey is over after many years of being resident and 16-month wait for the application to be processed. Thank you everyone who was here to support.

The officer was nice and friendly. No difficult question was asked during the interview. I had many documents to show but they did not even checked my documents. It was far easier than I expected. I regret the time I spent worrying about the interview and memorizing the details of the N-400. My advice to everyone who has interview scehduled is: be prepared but take it easy.

Hi everyone, super happy to share that I passed my interview on 1/25. yeahhh!!!!!!!!

The officer was super nice and it was easy breezy.

    • He put me on oath
    • Took my greencard and ID.  Kept my greencard
    • Did civics and writing test
    • We went through my application where I updated him on my address, unemployed status, traffic tickets I forgot to mention, and associations I was once a part of.
    • Signed paperwork
    • Took oath right at his office
    • Interview took about 25 minutes
    • He walked me out to the lobby where I waited for my certificate for about an hour

I then went to the passport agency in downtown Seattle and applied for my passport.

    Got it after 2 hours.

Super happy this journey is over.

Wishing everyone all the best of luck in their journey and hope it ends soon.

    Goodluck!!!!

Congratulations. Glad it is over for you. Where was your office? I have my interview in Sacramento this week. Feeling a bit worried.

Yes it’s las vegas. I just checked and they’re only   In September.
i was just curious because my auntie’s brother filed N-400 last year September and he’ll be interviewed next month already.

Yes. Sadly, the processing time of the offices vary a lot. For some field office is remarkably longer. We have field office with processing time of less than 8 months and there are also field offices with the processing time of 20 months. All of this obviously are based on the average time so not everyone in the same office waits as long. You should be able to make an inquriy in a month time. Hopefully, you get invited for interview before then.

Thank you for answering my question. I really appreciate it. I sent my application online. For our state it was sent to phoenix, arizona.

Hi again, it does not matter where you sent your application to. The processing time depends on your 'filed office'. Go to the bottom of the page below, enter your zip code and find your field office first.

    https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices

Then, check the processing time for your office from here. This will tell you when you can make an inquiry.

    Hope this  helps you.

Hi. I filed my N-400 October 2020. Received my NOA right away and then got a noticed saying they used my old bio last year February. After that my case was just stocked. My gc will expires this April. I applied N-400 in advanced because I don’t wanna face this kind of problem but I guess it still did happen. I’m from las vegas. Can you guys help me? What number to call? Or can I call the local office to asked them about my case? Thank you in advance.

Hello fellow October Filer. I also filed in October 2020 and  got invited for interview only last month. It feels awful to have no option but to wait. We are, however, left with no other choice. As far as I know, you can make an inquiry after certain date when your cases is considered as delayed. If your filed office is 'Las Vegas NV', then the processing time is 12.5 to 17 months, which means your case is not considered as delayed so far (screenshot). I just checked this for you and it seems they receive inquiry from September 2020 filers right now. This means you probably can make an inquiry in a month time. You will get the link for making an inquiry from here. Choose your office and check the link in the last pargarph.

On another note, are you sure your office is 'Las Vegas NV'? You can find your filed office by entering your Zip code in the link below (bottom of the page)

    Hope this helps.

I am  tired of this waiting  game.    Already 16 months .

Hi Lara, I totally get it. I waited for 15 months which was the lower range of the processing time for my field office (got interview invite two weeks ago). Where is your office and how long is the estimated processing time?

Anyone still waiting for their interview to be scheduled?

I am a October applicant and got the interview letter two weeks ago. But as you know, it depends on your filed office. Have you checked the progress of other applicants in your field office? Check the link below please.

    Yay congrats!

I have an app that has the questions some you have to Google, like your representative etc. I think it's called USCIS: civics test. A lot of my friends have used it and they became citizens not so long ago. Not sure about an expired green card, I believe they'll take it from you after the ceremony. I have a 10 year geen card so I'm not to worried about that.

    Good luck next month!

Thanks for your response. I found quite a few resources. I will check the one you recommended.

Not an issue, just bring the expired green card, driver's license, and passports (Current and old). Bring what the invitation letter tells you to bring.

Bring an original copy of your spouse's birth certificate or naturalization certificate to prove when they became a citizen. (If under 3 year rule)

    Bring updated tax transcripts also.

Thanks. I will keep everyone in here updated with the details of my interview.

Nope. Their timeline keeps changing. For as now their estimate (and I'm not holding my breath for that one)is for the spring.

Hi everyone, exactly 14 months after I filed on October 28th 2020,  I was now invited for the long-awaited interview yesterday. My field office (Sacramento, California) has one of the longest processing time. Wish everyone get updates on their application.

I now need to find out about the interview question. Has anyone used any application? Also, I had a valid green card at the time of application but it expired a few months ago. The lawyers are saying the green card is not needed for naturalization but I am a bit concerned. Has anyone attended their interview with an expired green card?

    My timeline below:

    Filed on October 28, 2020

Invited for interview: 28 December, 2021

    Interview date: 30 January 2022

    Field office: Sacramento, California
