  1. Hello friends! I just wanted to share the news that my fiancee had her interview yesterday and passed! I have been a usual lurker ever since we applied in July of 2021 here, but I finally want to post here to say thanks for everyone for keeping me sane during this long journey. I hope the best for everyone here and your approvals are not far away!
  2. Hey guys - we got an email from the NVC saying our case was sent to the Jakarta embassy almost a week ago, and this past Friday our case status was change to "ready", however I contacted the embassy yesterday and they said they have not received our case yet. Any idea what's going on?
  3. No problem! You don't do anything now - it took a week after receiving my case number to get an update saying it's in transit. For that date, I used the date when I received my case number.
  4. Here! https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
  5. Thanks for the reply! When I use the new case number they sent me on the CEAC website, it just says my case is at the NVC, I don't see anything regarding in transit - are they waiting for the consulate in Jakarta to request more petitions? I thought when the NVC receives our case, they send an email and letter to both me and my fiancée with instructions on the next steps (DS-260, medical checkup, etc). Just want the interview already!
  6. Hello everyone! Just some background on our case, we received our NOA2 on September 21st after a very long wait (we applied July 2021). After no information from the NVC, I sent an email to the NVC research email (NVCResearch@state.gov) and got a response within a few days saying they received our petition and to wait for further instructions via mail. That was over three weeks ago and still nothing. I sent another email yesterday and got a response today with a case number (progress!) but that's it. I put the number into the CEAC website and it says our case is at the NVC. I guess my question is how much longer until we get that letter and email detailing the final steps to the interview? Is there any action required on my part right now? I'm finalizing documents including the i-134 to send to my fiancée in Indonesia, and if I'm not mistaken, I don't have any fees to pay now. Just a lot of waiting, just passed two months since our NOA2. Thanks for any help!
  7. I haven't submitted the i-134, I'm just looking ahead at the next steps because our petition was approved and I wanted to get ahead of my concerns so I know how to fill out the i-134 properly when the time comes.
  8. Hello! Recently our i-129f petition got approved and I am patiently waiting for the NOA2 in the mail. I've encountered a question I knew would come up eventually. I submitted our petition while I and my fiancée were employed in Japan, so I listed my dad as a co-sponsor as I obviously didn't have a job in the US at the time and I don't have assets equal to what the USCIS requires . Since I've returned this past April, I have found a job that is above the minimun income requirement, so do I still need to incorporate my dad in the i-134? We do plan on living with my parents temporarily upon my fiance's arrival, but I will be supporting her financially. If there's no downside to including him that's fine, but I'm not exaclty how to navigate the form if I were to include him and me on it. Thanks!
  9. Hey everyone, been a lurker for over a year. They received our case July 15th 2021 and we just got approved today! Thanks for all the support, I've checked this thread incessantly for the better part of half a year and it really has helped. Best of luck to everyone still waiting, your approval is right around the corner!
