  1. We just called up all our utility companies (gas/electric, cable, & telephone) and asked to add the name on the account and they asked for the SSN and that's it, next bill both our names were on there. Some even let you update your profile online, so just add the spouse's name on the mailing address.

how did you include your names on the bills please..lol:)

Thank you so much! We've tried this.. call them and even went to their office. They said it's not possible to include my name in the bill itself but they can include my name as the wife but like for the phone they told us they can only put the name of the main plan holder. Grrr... Sad to say, we don't have anything that is joint probably if they will let us open next week for a joint savings hopefully but I will cross my fingers.

Thanks a lot for the response!

  2. Well I guess I should wait and see. It's 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from my place excluding the rush hour..grrrr.. I will really be very disappointed if my papers are not with them. I am not afraid of interview actually, the only thing that holds me is proof of bills as I have mentioned to my earlier post. Nobody answered me about that.. how did you include your names on the bills please..lol:) What's annoying was the last update from the time I was transferred to CSC was 11/05.. it took them 2 and a half months to give me an interview letter? I hope it was earlier...

    Good luck!

  3. his kids are not totally dependent to him, they live with their mother, and he pays child support. He lives alone, so he dont have custody of the children.

My family is in the US, and I dont want to tell them what happened today.

I need space today, and peace of mind

If they live with his mother, then why did he claim them in his household?

That is exactly what I was thinking.

  4. My fiance called USEM this morning to ask status of our case because as I said to your post earlier we Use Co-sponsor but the Consul did not accept it,Since my fiance cant look for a new job because he is still in pain in his surgery., so we ask the help of the congressman, and we found out this morning that our case is under review, I hope that we have some good news for next coming week, I had my Interview last Nov 3,2008 and still waiting,. and also my fiance ask the lady that he spoke on the phone and ask about co-sponsor thing and the lady said that Usually USEM don't allowed Co-sponsor but its still on the CO who will Interview to you the decision if they will accept it or not,. what window you had an Interviewed. Just have faith as you said Everything happen for a reason..

That is exactly what I was told too 7 months ago on my interview. IT DEPENDS ON THE CO.The pre screener told me so. I insisted to include my co sponsors papers. I haven't heard of someone who got denied for having a co sponsor.. usually on AR. and that is just lately base on reading here....

We have the same situation, my husband has 3 kids and paying child support. He doesn't have the kids living with him. His income last year is roughly $21k only. Then 06 is just $9k+ since it's just half a year. We didn't have 05 Tax. WE HAVE A CO SPONSOR.. my mother in law. I was granted a visa 6 working days after my interview and I only have one question. I still say it depends on the CO.

To the OP, don't lose hope. Since you said your family is in the US maybe you can use them as the co sponsor. Make a letter that you will not be a public charge. If there are some assets and bank account to support please include it.

    God Bless and good luck!

  5. Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

That's my message online, last updated was 11/05. Before that I got a message that says..

Current Status : Case Transferred to Another Office for Processing

I called USCIS today... I asked if what office and they said it's in California. Duh! I told the one I talked to that I got a snail mail that I am going to have an interview on Feb. 4 and he just said good luck! Lol;)

SO that's it! Probably some of you who got the same message online as I had will no longer need an interview....

Good luck to us all anyway. I am hoping that my soon to be interview will turn out fine!

  6. My take on the statement--

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

My touches/updates told me the case was being transferred. Then two days later told me the above statement. I think the jargon means it was received by CSC and now is pending at CSC, ie the office to which it was transferred. It's a generic statement and I don't think they take the time to personalize your case.

If you were transferred to CSC you got an I797C form in snail mail (looks just like the NOA1 receipt) and it says

This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing:

-- California Service Center, 2nd Floor, 24000 Avilla Road, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0111

    They call that an office.

Question for Bluekiss: Did you get the snail mail transfer notice saying it went to CSC like described above? Then you got an interview notice?

Yes guys! I got the snail mail transferred to CSC, 2nd floor blah blah,

My message online is the same as what you guys have.... i got all those same messages.... and I got an interview.

If in the next couple of days nobody of you gets snail mail for interview then I guess you guys are lucky. I once thought I was too for not having interview but well...something to be thankful as well!

    Good luck to us!

  7. I also have a question, how did you include your name in the bills of your husbands? we tried asking for it via phone call in our phone bill, Comcast, electric but they don't allow it. Told us only one person per bill? Anyone pls enlighten me how will it work?

    Thanks a lot!

    Vida Taylor

Good question! and sorry I don't have any answer for this. but I'm worried about that too... My husband is the one who pay the bills, so it's only his name of course. The only thing we have in common I think is the lease, I think my name is on it. Because by law the renting agency have to have my name listed. Do you guys renting? or is it bought? If you renting you should ask to have your name on the lease if it's not done yet!

And now that you have your EAD you can open a bank account and create a joint account. It's a good proof too for the interview.

    Good luck!

Am I in trouble with this if they can't really include me in the bills? We are not renting. He already owns it and I dunno if my name can be put on it oor not anymore. Yeah before the end of this month we are planning to open a joint account. We actually tried it before but it didn't work because of no ID in my married name and no record of residence. I am worn out thinking for the upcoming interview.

    Thanks a lot!'

  8. Got a touch on 1/12. The website now says The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. Does it mean that the case has been transferred from CSC where it was to a local office?

I think so.. at least you got a noticed from them that your case has been transferred to local office. I didn't get any. I checked online and my email but nope and no touches since it was transferred to California and yesterday I got a letter in the mail for my interview appointment on Feb.4.

    Good luck!

  9. I just wonder to those who got an interview letter, did your case status online ever change or did you received an email from Cris about the interview scheduled?

I also have a question, how did you include your name in the bills of your husbands? we tried asking for it via phone call in our phone bill, Comcast, electric but they don't allow it. Told us only one person per bill? Anyone pls enlighten me how will it work?

  10. Hello September filers,

Just as I thought I won't have interview because our case has been transferred, today I got an interview letter telling me to report in Philadelphia office on February 4,2009 @ 8 am. Oh well, at least they are really working on for my papers...

Am I the first here who got transferred and got an interview? Now we know, we can never tell whats going on with our papers.

Envy_me if you don't mind pls update mine. Thanks a lot Nao for that interview things you made.

  11. I was amused last night that based alone on an opinion veiled with sarcasm that I posted in one discussion thread here, someone already extrapolated about the likes of me using Americans for the purpose of getting a green card and ruining the image of Filipinas. And I am now the enemy, hahaha!

That's how they've known it.. that's how they think of it..that's how they interpret...that's how they assumed. It's not new!

At the end of the day..what really matters is YOU. What you think, what you believe and what you aim for.

I don't need to explain to the whole world why I married an American. What's important is my husband and our marriage.

It's a public forum, expect the unexpected!

  12. During my interview June 05,2008, I was told by the pre-screener that CO don't accept co sponsor but I insisted to give the documents of my co sponsor because my husband (fiance then) income is not sufficient. I was expecting a question from the CO about the income but I only got one question.. Where did you meet?

No harm in trying.. I knew of someone the same interview as mine with co sponsor and got approved. She wasn't even bothered to asked about it by the CO.

To the OP, just be sure to have supporting papers. I think a family member like mother in law is a good choice of cosponsor rather than just a friend.

    Good luck to you!

    Vida Taylor

Just because you submit cosponsor paperwork, does not indicate that the CO accepted the cosponsor in making their determination of support. The CO looks at your circumstances and can make a ruling based on his belief that you may or may not become a public charge. There is no set minimum income for this determination for the K visas. Minimums are set by statute for the I-864 which is not used for the nonimmigrant K visas. If you have cosponsor paperwork from close family members, it could show that you have a support network already in the U.S. and may lead him to determine that you are less likely to become a public charge. It does not prove that he used the cosponsor income to meet some minimum requirement. Likewise, if the cosponsor paperwork you present is from someone that has weaker ties, the same determination may not be made. In either event, the consulate in Manila will not use the paperwork to create a cosponsor dependency. They will rule based on the totality of the circumstances with the petitioner as the only sponsor.

Good point! I believe so.. my co sponsor that time was my mother in law.

  13. ahamm..oke.Why did you take the blood test if you had the right to refuse the treatment?

anyways...so my case will be class B right?and what the civil surgeon should write at remarks at part 2 chest X-ray reaction?should check class B,tb latent?and then write what at the remarks?

    thank a lot!

I didn't refused the treatment. I took it for 2 months... it was my doctor who told me to stop it after having the QuanteFeron test result because that goes to show I am clear even Latent TB. I was already complaining that time about the side effect. I took the QuanteFeron test at a later date..

The civil surgeon didn't put anything or remarks with regards to the TST shot.

  14. Since your mother in law is a co sponsor you need supporting documents from her too..

Bank statement is unnecessary if he is above poverty line but the more proof of financial evidence the better.

Don't forget the most important is to prove authentic relationship.

    Good luck!
