  1. This is very good to know. Thanks. Can you tell me if you sent a certified copy of the divorce decree with your I-129F, or was it a copy of a certified copy, or just a plain uncertified copy? I'm also concerned about an RFE since I did not pay extra for a certified copy I to send. I'm hoping they can wait for the interview for a certified copy.

My husband sent a certified copy of the divorce decree along with the I-129f.. I hope you'll be fine!

I hope your fiancee won't get too much interrogation from the CO on her interview. Best of luck!

  2. I have no idea where to post it. So I decided to make a try here. A friend of mine has a question but I don't know what to tell her so with everybody's help here and with the same situation she has I will really appreciate any answers and info you can give me.

She is now in California. She came here for K1 visa and her then fiance (now husband) petitioned her and her two children ages 18 and 10. When the petition has been approved and it's about time for interview.. she didn't bring the children with her in the Philippine Embassy in Manila for money matters. As far as I understood, the problem was financial, from medical interview for two children plus her, then visa fees and fare from PI to USA. SO in other words she left the kids in the Philippines and traveled here alone. She said that the console told her to get the children before the petition expired. Her question is.. what if she can't get the children before it expires? Can she petitioned them again? And if ever she can get them before the petition expires, does the children needs to be interviewed? I have no idea what to tell her. Can anyone please help me here?

    Thanks a lot! It's been a while I haven't post!

  3. My husband was laid off by the time we submitted the papers for my AOS until we had the interview. Immigration officer didn't even bother to ask about the situation of our financial during the interview. I had a co sponsor though.. my mother in law. I suggest you go ahead and apply and look for any family member who can be a co sponsor. If he was laid off you can also use the checks he is receiving from unemployment as proof. That's what we did. Good luck to you! Be sure to apply EAD so you can also work while waiting for GC.

  4. :star:You must have asked yourself once what if she might just use you to obtain a GC or get you to send her $$$ but you still gave it a shot.

What's with her after all that you've become so fond of her and the process of bringing her to the States stirs excitement, frustration, and anticipation?

    :luv: FAE

I'm the filipina wife here. I'll speak for my husband. He told me ones he then thought about that..(me after for GC and $$), later realized he said he has nothing to lose cause he don't have enough $$ and with the GC.. doubtful if USCIS will approved AOS petition since no enough financial support. Matter of fact he used my mom in law to be the co-sponsor.

Now we are living the simple life in our little house. He is receiving his disability and I am working. He actually have 3 beautiful kids in his first marriage and I was very much single then. What makes him fond of me? He said my attitude and ideas. What makes me fond of him? His sincerity. We've been married for 1 year and 28 days today to be exact. I got my GC 6 months ago.. I'm still here with him.. loving and loving him more.

  5. Wow Vids, you have to undergo X-ray every year?

Yup Riz, every year because it's a family court order from the judge ( you know about my situation regarding those drama in facebook ) I have to.. isn't that stupid? oh well! I will just try to look at the big picture and in my positive perspective.

  6. Why does she has to undergo another TB test for AOS? All she need to do is to complete her vaccination and have her medical transcribed by a civil surgeon.

It's the new medical policy that USCIS requires for AOS applicants. It became effective on May 1, 2008 but with a grace period of one month. So, it came into full effect June 1, 2008. Here's the link.

My medical exam in St. Luke's was May 2008 and I was covered with the grace period given. However, I decided to go for TST for the "just in case" reasons since we didn't want to get an RFE and delay the AOS process. Besides, the CS didn't honor my chest x-ray from St. Luke's. Fortunately, my TST result was negative which is not very common among Filipinas.

Now I am wondering if you are a real Filipina  lol! jk lang te Riza :P

Tell that to my stalker.. lol:) Most Filipinos gets TST positive is what I meant.

I was TST positive as well.. I got tested here in the US but it wasn't because of the AOS requirement. I am in line with the grace period but I just took the TST because as what Riza said.. "just in case" but as expected I got positive TST. They had me took another X ray after just 4 months intervals from my previous at St. Lukes (and has the same result)and as what you said again Riza it's like the St. Lukes X ray is useless. First I was required to undergo 6 months treatment with the medicine that has a strong side effect. After 2 months of taking it.. here comes another test//Quantiferon test and the doctor told me to stop the medication if it turned out negative. And indeed, it was negative..so medicine was stopped! They can't even give accurate reason. They said I got positive probably because of the BCG vaccine but the Quantiferon test doesn't affect the previous BCG vaccine. I'ts just crazy protocols and aliens in this country like us have to suffer. I have to undergo Xray every year to make sure that I won't develop the disease in a later part.

Bottom line.. the P10+ fees for our medical exam at St. Lukes is really not worth it. Some doctors in the US "junk" our xray results and some don't. It's up to you to decide what's best for your health.

  10. A family friend has been asking me lately what are they going to do with her husband's status. I don't know what to answer so I told her I will try to ask here..

Ok here's so far what I've known..They have been into a relationship for over 2 years and my friend got pregnant. The baby was born last December. They got married last month. His been here for years and I don't even know his status when he first entered the US. My friend just told me that he went to school before then he had a job with just a passport from his home country which is Mexico. He was from another State before then transferred to another State.. I really don't know his status! He must have been illegal I don't know. But they got married last month. Now my question is.. what are they going to file? Do they need am immigration lawyer? Does he needs to go home then she will petition him? I really have no clue about his status at this point..

Please help.. thanks a lot! All response are appreciated!
