  1. hello all. Have a question if any one has any insight. our K-1 visa application was approved and my fiancé completed her physical, her medical and vaccination requirements she was given a clean bill of health and was scheduled for her interview at the embassy on July 30th. Unfortunately she had atrial fibrillation that went undetected and suffered a stroke ONE WEEK before her interview. We postponed the interview through the portal, I have come to Thailand to assist her and we have been working on her rehab since. She lost quite a bit of her English language skills. She understands everything she reads in English and everything spoken to her in English but she has trouble with speaking responses in English. She retained the majority of her Thai language skills but can become confused easily still. I don’t think she will be able to pass the interview yet in her current state. My question is does anyone have an idea of how much of our year and a half of work and waiting can be retained ( if any) or how long any of our approvals will remain valid. We can only at this point continue working with her rehab and language skills in the hopes she will regain enough mobility and language to continue to seek our K-1 visa. thanks all in advance any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
  2. Thank you all so much for your help. I will try to contact the thai embassy through email to start and see what kind of response i receive. again thank you all, What a great community here on the VJ forum.
  3. She has a neck injury and they want her to be immobile and are unsure how long they will keep her in the hospital before they release her to physical therapy. I will try to contact the embassy to see if the interview can be postponed. This is quite a complication after a year and a half of work and waiting. Ughhh.
  4. Hello all, quick question. My fiancé and i have completed all steps including her health exam and she has appointment for the K1 visa interview (thailand) at the end of this month. Unfortunately she had a serious accident and will most likely have to attend physical therapy for some months before she can travel. I assume that all our work and time is now for naught but thought i would ask here if anyone has had this type of complication or for any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks all.
  5. Not sure if this is were this goes but for anyone interested, My fiancée has completed all steps and has been approved to schedule her interview.
