    I used to think so too, but you’re eligible for DS2019 extension as long as your waiver is still pending.

    I wish you the very best! Waiting sine Nov 2021 and I know exactly how frustrating it is! If I may ask, how much did it cost? How long did the lawyer take to file? And if you’re comfortable sharing lawyer’s name and contact info? I am planning on doing the same and I would truly appreciate your help.

    Waiting since November 2021!

    No fund. Expedited processing request denied.

    Pending with DOS since November 2021 (yes, 18 months!).

    No, I asked my lawyer about this and emphasized that I will get a new SON and start a fellowship with a different institution. He confirmed that that’s absolutely fine.

    Sorry to see that! Is your case spouse based? Or child based? May I ask what is the nature of your hardship? I really hope that you find a way to reverse this.

    I’m also curious to know your DS2019 expiration date, is about to expire? I’m trying to figure out whether that has anything to do with the way they triage cases.
