finally the visa will be issued
yesterday they called and told me to come monday and bring your passport with you , i said is the visa ready lol she said inchaallah
our lawyer got email from the consulate saying :
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your email inquiry. (Mr. SALSHI's ) case has been processed. We have contacted him to submit his passport so that the visa can be issued.
Regards,
Immigration Visa Unit
Casablanca, Morocco
Congratulations on your visa... I know you are very happy... yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

My subject is meant to be sarcastic. At the interview, the consul said "Visa approved". The Monday after the interview we called the support desk, and the next day received an answer from the consul: "Visa approved, you'll have it in 1 week". Yesterday we called for another status update, and today were told "Administrative review. If your visa is approved, it will take 1 or 2 weeks before it is printed, but quite often it can take much longer. If you don't receive your passport back in a month, call us again".
So, they've been lying to us for the past 2 weeks. Now Natasha and Vika will return to Volgodonsk and I'll return to Omaha, the future uncertain once more. I haven't decided yet whether I should change their tickets to a month or two from now, and try to be hopeful, or if I should just cancel them. There's no way to tell IF the visas will be approved now, since they have apparently changed their minds. I've spent all the money I had to bring Natasha and Vika back to the USA, so even if the visas get approved eventually, I don't know what to do.
Assuming I hear anything, ever, from the consulate, I'll let everyone know.
Aw man... I am soooooooo sorry to hear that... I wish they wouldn't tell people they are approved and then say oh I made a mistake.. they don't know what kind of plans people get ready to make especially with plane tickets and everything like that... oh I pray you get your visa soon.. I really do... oneder

If I even had to think about getting spyware, I'd be gone in a heartbeat.
I know that's right Aymerlu... but habibi doesn't strike me as the cheating type which is a relief to me

Hey guys, I went to photobucket and uploaded a pic of our son Malek. He is 6 days old in this picture He's doing great, we had to go to baby formula because he was losing so much weight and he is so content with it. If anybody has any advice on how to downsize this pic in photobucket I would appreciate it..its like gigantic. Also has anybody else had troubles uploading their display picture? I keep getting that my files are too large and it will not scale down. I hope all is well with everybody. Sounds like we are getting some good news here with some visas coming. Ayman has his interview next Sunday so keep us in your thoughts...God bless us all!
Tasha
he is such a cutie.. and how is Malek today.. i pray he is doing well with the formula.. God bless you and i pray all goes well on your interview.. oneder

Our visa has been stamped into his passport and we are just waiting for it to mail out. Alhamdolellah.
DOS confirmed emails i received from Cairo this morning. His name checks are completed, the visa HAS been issued and just waiting to be mailed out. So God willing it will be in his hands early next week. And he will be here we hope first week of April or so. He has be wonderful..he's been saying March would be our month for months now. How did he know???
He is in shock...
I would urge anyone waiting on their visa...getting the DHL emails...to email cairo with a simple question and call DOS. They have given us good information and we are so happy that its almost over for us. 4.5 years together...this is our dream become our reality. Alhamdolellah.
wow.. congratulations.. i know you are very glad..

Yesterday, my USC Husband filed his taxes and presented my W7 form and certified copy of passport .... he filed married jointly. All went well, and there will be more of a refund .... however, it will take a couple of months longer due to them dealing with the W7 and giving me a tax number without SSN# .... but all good.
What I want to share, is the fact they told him, that as he had to fly to visit me while I was undergoing medical tests the other week, he'd be able to claim the flight against next years tax bill !!!! .... all that would be necessary would be the receipt and accompanying medical documentation
I thought this was cool, and thought it may help some of you.
Sarah x
Don't mean to throw cold water on this but most people do not qualify for itemization of medical expenses because the you first must have accumulated more than 7.5% of your adjusted gross income in medical expenses before you can deduct dollar one.
Travel expenses (but not meals) while away from home to receive medical care in a hospital or a medical care facility provided there was no significant element of personal pleasure, recreation, or vacation in the travel.
aw man oh well hopefully habibi will be here so i won't have to travel anymore right now.. but thanks for the information

After almost 2 1/2 hours of interrogation, my husband finally got his visa,Thank you LORD and thanks to you guys for anwsering all my questions and concerns, you are GREAT!!!
I will give you all the details of the whole ordeal at the El Salvador embassy, all I can say is that I never imagine it was going to be so hard and difficult to convince the CO of our bona fide marriage,we were interviewed separately not by one by 3 different COs,it was quite a challenge to be honest but when you hold the truth it always prevails!!!!
God bless you all..
congratulations and God is good

Yes, he takes all the "proof" to the interview itself. If you send it in with packet 3 they may send it back to him. All he's going to send it is what was contained in packet 3, info from your employer, bank, the I-94 with tax returns and the medical. (I might be leaving something out, but I think that's it) The packet has everything outlined what they need
what in the world is the I-94.. between tax season and this.. man it's blowing my mind.. thanks for the info by the way
-
my fiance received packet 3 and was wondering does he send the email, chats, phone calls and pictures back with the papers with packet 3 or does he save that for the interview.. we don't have a lot of emails and chat but have records of phone calls and pictures.. also how long after the interview do you get the visa.. he's asking this because on one of the forms in packet 3 it said send in evidence of relationship for something like that.. i'm confused and i know he is too.. please help us if you can.. thanks.... oneder

PB, I can totally relate...I'm still not used to leaving him in the mornings. In fact I've worked from home at least a couple days a week since returning to work--I mean, I get the work done and still get paid so that's what matters, but I really hate commuting even more now.
You know, for months after my husband got here, I would find myself calling him on my way to work, just like I was doing when he was still in Egypt. One morning I said "Hey! Are you in the coffiee shop?" There was a long pause and he said honey....what's your problem?
hahahaha.. funny
