  1. Appreciate the input, I've decided to reschedule for PA instead. Can't justify spending $4k on flights, hotels, and dragging infant along. I am in no rush so I'll just wait for the rescheduled appointment.
  2. I passed my N400 interview (based on 3-year rule) on January 28th in Portland, Oregon. I mentioned it to the officer that I will be moving out of state in the middle of February due to work and they told me to change my address once that happens. Today I received my oath ceremony for March 20th in Astoria, OR (not even Portland) and I am moving on February 15th to Pennsylvania. I will be changing my address on that day. Do I need to call the number listed on the oath ceremony to reschedule the ceremony now or do I wait until I moved and changed my address? Can/should I fly back to do the oath ceremony in Oregon or do you have to be naturalized based on your current address?
  3. If the beneficiary (your husband) is abroad, you would not file the I-485 as that is for people inside the United States to adjust their status. Are you referring to the I-130 document? That's the form you need to file. You'd file the I-601 once the consular official refused the visa and then the wait time begins. Either way I'd strongly suggest using a lawyer, an I-601 waiver for vaccinations is not a DIY situation.
  4. Submitted on July 1st using the 3-year rule. Notice of receipt was uploaded to my portal 20 minutes later, got the physical receipt notice today.
  5. I filed my I751 packet last week as my conditional green card is expiring 9/28. My wife and I have a vacation planned and booked in Mexico between 10/2-10/9. I've been seeing a lot of different information on people travelling with expired green cards and their extension notice to enter Mexico without a visa. My question is: Since I hold a Schengen passport (Hungarian passport) there is no visa required for tourism. Am I correct in understanding that the expired green card + extension notice is not relevant in my case as I am gaining visa free entry through my valid, unexpired passport rather than from being an LPR? The green card and the extension notice would only need to be presented when entering the US. Is this a correct understanding?
  6. Sending out the package today via FedEx. Packet ended up being over 450 pages, most of it being financial records from banks and similar institutions.
  7. I will be filing my i751 packet on July 5th as my conditional green card is expiring on September 28th, 2024. Planning on going to Mexico for a week long vacation with my wife in early October. Will I receive the extension letter prior to that and is it safe to book the vacation now? I will be entering Mexico with my foreign passport and have no visa requirements.
