  1. Seems hopeful if the i-130 went through so quickly after the status change. Crossing my fingers things continue moving for you! We also have to do the medical. Any idea what field office is process your paperwork?
  2. Finally, first update in on our timeline in a year. Hubby received his SSN and EAD this weekend! Pleasantly surprised to see the EAD is good for two years - though he should have his green card well before then. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
  3. Case in point - my inquiry date for our i130 was October 31 of this year last time I checked. Today it's April 29, 2023. 😩
  4. Glad you for the EAD at least! We are still waiting for my husband's. He did get his AP though, luckily. We actually just applied for round two of AP because it expires in Novenber. We're past normal processing timelines on everything else, but the system keeps moving the goal post when it comes to when we can ask for clarification. 🙄 I swear we could handle anything, but the complete lack of communication and transparency is the worst! I just tell myself we should see movement by January...? I hope?
  5. We filed the i130 and i485 concurrently, August 6 2021 receipt date. No movement on the i130 whatsoever. It was in the NBC- no indication that it's been transferred, but we're based in Texas. Super frustrating.
  6. Officially a year since we filed our i130 & i485 concurrently- still no movement since biometrics in September and receiving advanced parole in November. We are reapplying for advanced parole next week, which I wish we'd done sooner at this rate. Now trying to figure out the best way to go about getting paperwork started for my stepson. We originally wanted to just get him a tourist visa to be able to visit, but appointments for tourist visas in Mexico City are still a year out- our appointment is August 2023. With that kind of wait, guess we might as well get his i130 started? We've found some kind of balance in this crazy holding pattern, but it sucks sometimes. I do worry that the frequent trips back to Mexico to see my stepson will hurt our application during the interview, but what can we do when immigration is overburdened, overwhelmed, and dragging its ###? I am super grateful for the fact that we can manage as well as we do on a single salary and that my stepson is a freaking rockstar at handling the long-distance parenting. Surely USCIS realizes that their system strains the very families that go through it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, how is everyone doing? Updates have been sparse for our cohort.
