I got some news According to the website they finally sent me the AP approval on August 2nd So hopefully the rest of the stuff will follow in a timely manner

Guys Guess what I´ve been busy so I still have catching up to do. But I just randomly checked USCIS webpage today (cuz I stopped checking it regularly cuz I lost interest in it ) and it says they sent me the AP approval on 08-02 So now I don´t know what I am doing I already stopped thinking about going to Europe for the wedding in Aug/Sept but now I´m maybe going Isn´t that crazy? That could also mean that our trip to see Aly might be in danger since I don´t know what I´m doing yet

Another thing...how fast do you wanna go through with the divorce and are you still thinking about some councelling or not? You see, I don´t wanna sound pesimistic (and also I don´t have any experience with that so it´s just a thought), but you basically just got your GC and won´t it raise some flags if you file for a divorce right after? I don´t want you to have some troubles in case you decide to stay and wanna remove the conditions on your own Hugs

I don´t quite understand that with the HPV vaccine...it´s not something you can get at any doctor´s office? If not then you can definately get it at the places that take care of vaccinations....I saw one place like that but I don´t remember exactly what it was called Maybe I can look it up somewhere if it would help you.

I decided to call USCIS. AGAIN The last time I called they placed service request for the AP, today I only called about the EAD.

For the ones who don´t remember: in June they told me my EAD is set to be adjudicated on July 28th or earlier. In July I called about ten days prior to this date and that´s when the lady said she wasn´t able to place a service request for that, cuz the computer told her I had to wait 55 more days before it would accept the service request (which would put me in the middle of September).

Today I decided to call again just out of curiosity and despite the first lady putting me on hold about million times and asking my zip code about half a million times and so on, she put me through to some laid back guy who told me my EAD was still being reviewed and they were still working on it. So I said that since their website says they were working on EADs from April 16 and my one is from March I´d like to know what was going on. He said I could go to my local office (well go - that´s 4 hours driving ) and tell them to call the benefits center and they should tell them. So I said I thought that´s what the service requests were for. So he said he could place a service request but that would take up to 30 days before I get a letter from them. I said that was fine, so he placed the service request for my EAD

So now I have service requests on both AP and EAD See what happens

I hope there won´t be these problems with the AOS too but right now it just looks like all is stuck

A) The age difference between us is 3 years

B - We're both decidedly average in the appearance stakes - about 5 or 6 outta ten. We've always been well aware of this, and have cut our cloth accordingly.

C) We've been together 7 years.

D) For 2 of those years, (2004 - 2006) we lived together - take note, Hannah P (lol @ you saying "y'all" - my missus is a hick too!! )

Nope that doesn´t do it for me. None of the reasons you stated indicates to me that your relationship is any better than anyone elses. A good quality relationship doesn´t depend on how old anyone is. It´s a matter of being a good partner to someone who you love and not about how many candles each of you have on your birthday cake that year. Appearance isn´t an indicator either cuz good quality relationships actually grow from loving the person they are and not judging their face and counting their wrinkles. It doesn´t matter for how long you have been together. It might matter if you meet someone and marry them within a week, but it might not be an indicator either. They can as well live happily ever after. Many people live together for a while prior to getting married and many of those marriages fail too.

It´s all the greedy oil and car companies fault (ofcourse government have their fingers in it too). First they kill a chance for a decent public transport here and then they kill the EV1 And it´s rediculous that if you wanna take a train here to get somewhere far, it ends up costing more than driving or flying and it takes ages to get somewhere by train cuz there are no train tracks anywhere so you have to go around the country to get to a place. Then it´s obvious people will never start using that.

Hey guys stop mocking British weather I lived there for over a year and visited many times and the weather was always great Only in April, that was funny. Concerning your original post, I don´t even think that when you live with someone for a while it gives you the status "now I know them". You can live with someone and after some time find out you are living with a complete stranger. It´s all about honesty. If you just pretend something all the time, it doesn´t matter if it´s via messanger/cam or in the same house.

I don´t think that´s the case. Or at least it shouldn´t be. I mean all the checks were done before for the K1. I don´t know why it should be done multiple times in a row. Getting the EAD is based on them getting married and they get married due to a valid K1. So unless they didn´t get married I don´t know what the big deal is about EAD and I don´t understand why USCIS is making such a hassle about it. Besides, what sort of a behaviour is this? They don´t understand or like something about someone´s paperwork so they are supposed to ask about it (send an RFE or something) and not put it "on hold" and forget about the whole thing without ever dealing with it after or informing the people that are involved.

Ok I looked at their timeline and it doesn´t look like they got married on K1 cuz it says other visa. So there might be some other problem. But the stuff with K1 can at least be applied on us, since for our K1 everything was alright so I don´t know why for AP and EAD something wouldn´t be alright. It´s just weird. I think our "adjudicator" took 2008 off ...hopefully he/she will be back in 2009

So I got my new passport Which is great cuz now I don´t have to carry the marriage certificate everywhere At least some things work when other things don´t
