  1. Maybe Valentine's Day once meant something, but for me it has become a silly excuse for a holiday. "Oh my, what a surprise, flowers and candy!"

Maybe you could change it up a little or is your fantasy that rusty?

As for celebrating Int. Woman's Day, it's a Soviet/communist holiday and I will not salute my old enemy. Maybe for some it has become a harmless tradition, but I don't surrender my history and values to briefly please my wife. I am not a Russo-centric husband.

Seriously dude, learn your history. USA is the originating country of IWD (it's not just steaks, waffles and manly talk, afterall) and it's celebrated all over the world, not just Russia.

Oh, and there's an Int. men's day too if you cared to know, but I bet you are too of a wuss for that :)

  2. Ooh, sounds nice, get the kettle on! lol... I'd rather hang out in your home, if hanging out in others means I have to see graphic representations of fetal development.

And on that point, of graphic fetal development I mean, how considerate is it to cover your sig and so every single darned post you make with this, when there well be women here who have lost a pregnancy right at the stage your joyous foetus is, including 2nd trimester miscarriage?

Failing to see what's b*tchy about asking if signatures can be regulated. Not banned, regulated.

How considerate is it to include your and your fiance's picture with every single post you make? There are thousands of people here who have lost their fiance at the stage of K-1 you are at, including NVC and Embassy stage?

  3. I'm all for signatures, don't get me wrong. It's a lot easier to glance at someone's timeline for reference than opening up their timeline in a separate window. I also click through to other people's blogs quite often, and remember which member has a link to a useful thread (like Vanessa+Tony's links to the Aussie specific threads)

However, there are some members with ridiculously long signatures containing nothing of any use information-wise.

Sure, have a small pic of you and yours; have a LINK to your favourite utube track; have a countdown ticker or two but c'mon... embedding 3 vids in your sig or 6 different sparkling animated what-have-yous or whacking great big 'my uterus is expanding at a rate of .5 micrometres per second this week!'

This isn't aimed at any members in particular, but is it really necessary? I'm sure there is a way of restricting the size of graphics and length in cm that your signature can extend to. At least, there used to be on other Invision Board software forums I haunt...

How is "nods and points" useful?

  4. Oh, Alla is prissy, she has no problemns with bugs, dirt.

Oh, that must be why she is still sticking around.

Alla loves gardening. She puts on shorts, halter top and low heels.

Now that's low. My wife loves gardening with high heels on.

Alla had a mini-van, she learned to drive a mini-van. It was a good practical All Wheel Drive (important in Vermont even for civilized roads) with a set of winter tires on rims, and good for hauling a teenage son and all his friends to various places. But then she saw a Pontiac Solstice and she shrugged off her soccer mom van and now will zoom around with a top down sports car! (when it is warm enough...maybe three weeks in July) I have to admit it is damn fun to drive but the thing gets stuck in snow on the driveway...not a good Vermont "winter car" and I am getting a bit tired of pushing her out of the driveway every morning. She lets me drive her car to get gasoline. It could carry a 10' board if you slung it under the car and tied it up to the bumpers. And if it was a 1x board. A 2x4 would probably drag the ground. Anyway that's what the van and my truck are for.

If you don't think this whole thing is just plain silly then don't complain about pushing her out of the driveway and be grateful she lets you drive the car to get gas.

  5. call me insensitive, but i don't really feel anything about earthquakes in haiti. no compassion, nothing. it's like people telling me a planet far far away that has nothing to do with my life was about to explode and nothing would change for me.

Yes, you said exactly this. You are right, you didn't say it wasn't tragic. You didn't even say it was tragic. But I understand it's hard for some people to care for others when they are only interested in their own looks and having fun. Btw, you should really hit the gym and stop complaining. And no, surgeries aren't usually a good replacement for sport.
