  1. Okay.. I hope we get news soon on his green card application. So, I guess if we don’t hear anything about the green card, we’ll probably have to renew the EAD in December 2024.
  2. Okay. We did apply for I-485 and they are currently working on that application because we had to do a RFE.
  3. My husband is from Canada and moved to Ohio. He has his work permit which expires in June 2025. Out of curiosity, how do you renew it? So that way he can continue to live in the states with me. Thank you.
  4. Almost a whole year that you guys been waiting on this?! Oh my goodness. That’s such a long wait and that can cause some anxiety for some. I wish they can give out more updates. Especially for those who are waiting a long time! I’m not familiar with this website so… lol
  5. My husband (from Canada) has been here for about a year now in the states. USCIS did a RFE on the I-485 because they needed his birth certificate. We have an attorney and he’s been wonderful on helping us. He said the RFE response has been filed on and that was on December 28, 2023. I looked online at our case status and it says that they received my response on January 4, 2024 and began working on it. It’s now March 5, 2024 and we have yet to hear back from USCIS on form I-485. It worries me that it’s taking this long. Most people say they hear back within 60 days or less but it’s now been 2 months.
  6. Yes. He arrived in the U.S on Jan 21st, 2023 and got married on March 18th, 2023.
  7. Hi everyone, Me and my fiancé finally got married on March 18, 2023 on a K1 Visa. We are currently filling out forums I-485 and I-765. But cannot find clarity on how to mail them in (since we are mailing both forums together) and can't find the filing fees. If anyone has been through this process and can advise us where to look, etc. it would be greatly appreciated. We tried looking on the USCIS website but it wasn't giving us much information. Thank you in advance.
  8. I’m happy to hear that he finally crossed! That is so exciting! And it strange. So many rules and changes, never know what to expect. xD
  9. Correction!! He said it took him 10 business days to receive the visa. Before it said 4-6 but after he got approved, it took 10 days!
  10. It’ll go by quick! Wanna hear something crazy? We found out he got approved on November 10th and when he got his visa, it said it expires Jan 25th. I’m like… that is so quick! I guess they went by his medical exam. We thought we would have a few months but nope… hahaha.
  11. That is amazing news! Congratulations! And I think my fiancé said 4 to 6 weeks.
  12. Thank you! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you as well! And hopefully you’ll hear something very soon!
  13. I just wanna update you! As of Nov. 10th, 2022, my fiancé (who lives in Canada) just got approved on his visa! Have you heard any news?!
  14. I hope! I want my fiancé here, dang it.😂 and yes, definitely keep me updated! I’ll update you as well. 🙂
  15. I also want to add that he was refused on the day of this interview due to the papers not being correct. He submitted the papers and when I checked on the website to see if it was updated, it said that on October 11th, it was still refused. I’m not sure if this is the final decision or we just wait until we get a email or letter telling us the final decision
  16. My fiancé just told me a couple days ago that they received the additional documents on October 3rd. But other than that, we haven’t heard had any other updates. I did hear that it can take a few weeks to get a email/letter to let you know if your partner has been approved after sending in the additional documents.
  17. It was the paper that had the finger prints. That is what my fiance told me. I tried to complete some of my timeline just now! Thank you.🙂
  18. So my fiancé had his K1 Visa interview (in Canada) and was refused due to him needing to provide extra documentation because the paper was apparently wrong. He mailed it out to the embassy and now we’re waiting to hear back. How long does this usually take?
  19. Okay. His interview is next week so I wasn’t sure if I should do it so he can bring it to the interview.
  20. Do I need to do the I-864 even if I did the I-134? I’m doing the K1 Visa with my fiancé who is in Canada. I don’t think they asked us to bring the I-864 but I still don’t know if I should do it since I did the I-134 and they are pretty much the same thing. Need help/advice! Thank you.
