  1. Hi Everyone! I have a quick question. I helped my friend filing for her AOS

And it got denied because of the payment. Well, what happened is that she filed the work permit first and paid 300 something. Then After a month she filed for AOS and paid 600 something because she already paid for the work Permit. Now why it got

Denied? Does she need to pay the whole amount even if she paid the work permit? Please help what to do?

  2. Hello Everyone! I have a question, I have a friend who just got married, didn't file for AOS yet, they moved to California from Washington two weeks ago...now the main problem is the wife wants to live separately for now because of work and personal issues. They tried to work things out but the husband needs help with his behavior. She's thinking He can easily find a job at Washington and he has all the family back there to support and guide him. He will also go back to school there. But She wants to stay and live in CA.They both still love each other and agreed to the decision. How is that gonna affect when they're filing the AOS? I wanna help both of them and I need your opinion on this matter....please help us.Thank you so much!!

  3. Hi Everyone!

I have a quick question, I just checked my status on my Petition to Remove Conditions of permanent resident from USCIS and this is what I've read -

On December 7, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

    Am I approved?

    Thank you!

  5. 1. You should have 2 years worth of tax returns. You only mention 2009. - He didn't file 2008 because he was not working :(

    2. I wouldn't worry about the car related docs. Just in your cover letter, disclose this information so they don't wonder why you didn't include it.

    3. You can also include the DL or State IDs that should show same residence. - Ok I will - Thank you :)

    Your evidence looks very good.

    A few comments:

  7. Hi VJ! I have a question and I hope that you will answer me :-(.My story is that me and my husband fight more often and he does beat me up and i did file a police report because it just didn't happened once.My family and friends told me to leave him but i just can't because i truly love him and i really wanna work our marriage. So now I'm just wondering if it will affect our filing of Removing condition?

Judging from your timeline, you only just got your Conditional green card 2 months ago! and you are already thinking of divorce so soon,be careful, in the eyes of Immigration, this might look and sound as fraud, I am sorry for all your streess you are going through, but think very well before you make any more moves.

You said you filed a restraing order against your husband once before, my question to you is, did u file the order, before or after your got your Green card, cos if you filed before you recieved your Conditional green card, they might have asked you why you didn't present this evidence when you where filing for adjustment ,and then after you got the card you then use it against him.

I hope you have all your thoughts together, many people get their conditions removed sucessfuolly after a divorce and yet many don't, hope you have all your cards right, I am sorry for all you are going through, but be wise, if you plan to divorce him anytime soon, you better have more than a police report to present to immigration, when you file for removals. Good luck to you

Hi! Thank you for your comment but u got it all wrong. I am not thinking of divorcing him and i will never file a divorce because i love him very much and hopefully it will never happen. I filed a police report last Sunday (Feb. 22, 09) because of what happened but i never filed a restraining order or anything like that.I just reported to the police what happened and thats it coz i thought he doesn't love me anymore and that its over but he still loves me and wants me back. He was the one abandoning me so i went to the police coz i have nobody to help me.But its all good now because i am back home with him and we're all good now and hopefully it will continue like this.I got my green card last year Dec. 01,2008 so i am not filing a removing of condition yet but just wondering if it will affect when i do file. Anyway, i do appreciate everyone who replied to my post.Thank you all so very much and Take care and God bless you always!
