  1. I applied for a tourist visa last year, before meeting my boyfriend in person. I did it because the consulates were closed due the Covid and my interview was scheduled for November 2022. Now, after making an adjustment on the DS 160, my interview changed to August 2022. After awhile, we decided to get married, but we didn't applied for the K1 because we don't know if filling the K1 could bring me issues on my tourist visa. I've worked for the federal government here for almost 20 years, my daughter is 16 yo and lives part time with me (half month), I'm divorced but I still have a mortgage to pay (my ex-husband and I bought a house together and my name is still in the paperwork)... Is there a possibility of the consulate deny my B2 because we applied for a K1?
  2. Hi everyone! I'd really appreciate some guidance here. We are gathering the documentation to apply for K1 and I've been researching everywhere, but I wasn't able to obtain reliable information about the need to have a certified translation of my marriage certificate, as I am divorced. Can I translate my own document, or can it be someone else fluent in the language, or is a certified translation registered by the notary mandatory in this case? Thanks for any help 😄
