I can tell you what to expect the night before the interview when you're waiting to know though....no sleep hardly, on pins and needles, and still on cloud 9 with

excitement.

Kim and Russ - I think we've all touched each others heart at one point or another reading VJ. Here we all have some understanding of each others situations, and how it feels. When friends and families have never endured what we have, it is sometimes hard for them to put themselves in our situation, where we all know the roller coaster ride here

So almost a year ago we started this process, consulting attorney's, gathering information, researching what we needed to do to be together. Tomorrow is the interview, well actually today in Denmark.

I'm so full of excitement, and so nervous that one person, whom we don't know, can control our fate. Peter and I both know who we are, and what we mean to each other. We know that even

if anything could possibly happen, we'll find a way to be together. I can't stop smiling, knowing that he is going to be arriving within a few weeks and we won't have to worry about only having a limited

time to be together, trying to fit months worth of missing each other into only what seems to be a few days.

To all the couples out there waiting, wondering, being frustrated from not being together, missing each other, longing to reach out and touch the others hand, or look into their eyes. It will happen.

Soon the frustration of this journey will be done, soon we will be able to sleep next to the one we love, and wake up beside them. We might not have all of the simple pleasures right now, but when we

do have them, I think we will remember this time, and learn not to take the moments for granted.

I was approved on the 18th.

Finally!!! and they made us wait and suffer longer than we should've. I am a little bitter about the whole ordeal because it was difficult watching others that had applied the same time as us get approved months ahead before us. I was even discouraged to see someone apply to the same country as us, a month later than us. and at the same servicing center as us, get approved before us. I hope you all have the strength and love to endure this. It makes me cry that I have been without my loved one for so long. So many things have happened in the past 9 months that we each had to do alone. Without each other. We can never regain that time lost and yes I am bitter about the whole system.

So this whole journey was a bittersweet one. The Visa is approved and he will be here shortly. I am very happy knowing that.

I wish all of you swiftness in your case and I hope your's doesn't end up as paperwork clutter on someone's desk like ours did.

I can imagine your bitterness towards how the system works, we have all felt that, some more then others. I know from our standpoint it was very hard to enjoy our happiness fully, knowing that

VSC, thanks for approving another July-filer and letting October wait for a short while!

When we sent our application to VSC in July, I can't believe that I had ever thought I'd already be in the US by the end of 2007...what a funny and pious hope that was!

It is nice to see July but let's see all the May, June, and July filiers approved!

Well I have applied for an expedited case and am supposed to hear something in 5 days in regards to whether they will or will not

expedite the application.

I did send a something to the Obudsman guy and got back a pre form email response that was basically a brushoff....however I did send an email and not

a form....so if I do not get anywhere with the expedite I will send a form to him..

Hopefully they will realize their error and correct it asap. You deserve it.

Charlene, I suggest you try the Ombudsman on this one. Also try the USCIS, hopefully you'll reach someone who can help.

I can't imagine how frustrating and straining it is for you. I hope you make it through, and hopefully soon. Stay positive. I'm sure it'll work out in the end.

Hi all,

I'm starting to get concerned, we received the NOA2 on December 31st, and since that day we have received a touch on the 1st, 2nd, and now today the 3rd. Does anyone know if this is

the norm? At first we thought they were just showing it was being touched getting ready to go to the NVC, but I'm not so sure.

They asked Leidy 4 simple questinos about how we met, our trip to Panama together and that was it...the interview lasted less than 5 minutes!!!!

My wishes for everyone on here is a quick and speedy process. While Peter and I are both so happy right now, we are also keeping all of you close in our thoughts knowing the frustration we felt, I cannot begin to imagine the frustration that filiers prior to us are feeling. If our happiness and hopes could make approvals happen, each of you would have yours as well right now.

We are all on the sidelines cheering for each other right now, we know the system itself is broke, and hopefully we can all find ways to send information to the USCIS to improve it, and they will listen to it.

Did you get any touches before you got the approval notice?

Thank you! We got a couple of touches a while back, but I don't think we got anything in connection with the approval. Colleen checked this morning and there weren't any touches since November 15th, which were due to a misspelling of my last name (the Danish ø should be oe and not just o).

Today of all days! I can't stop crying and neither can Colleen. It is such a release to finally get it!

I got the message from Colleen saying we got approved and to call her, so I did! And I was speechless and crying, and I went to cry with my parents. :joy: :energetic:

I'm so happy! I don't understand it It's unbelievable. Finally!!! It's funny because we were both stressing so much about it and having dreams about it last night, that we discussed earlier today

In all the happiness I still feel sad for those that still haven't heard their good news. I wish you all the best, and you're in my thoughts.

I don't know if we count as July Filers or not (we did file in July, but didn't get the NOA1 until late August). I want our approval so bad, but I also hope that those that filed before us get theirs. It upsets me when I see people who are still left in the dark, and it scares me. Depressing really Anyway, I'm trying to stay positive!

I keep thinking that they should approve people by default after 90 days. If they haven't had time or haven't found anything wrong, then just approve the applications. If there are any subsequent problems, then they can pick up on that at the AOS and all that. I'm just sick of waiting
