  1. Hi Jay, No she didn't travel. She stayed back in USA until she received her GC and only then travelled back to Canada. We didn't want to take any risk at all. But I think she could have travelled based on my research. Thanks, Faith and Patience
  2. Thank you. Just to be 100% sure, I am attaching the image of the admission Visa stamp. This was stamped on the page adjacent to her Visa. This is the only stamp CBP officer put on her passport. Also for biometrics they only took her photo but I was expecting that they do finger prints too. I was too scared to ask them because I had already asked few questions and I was worried they may not like me asking more questions.
  3. Thank you so much but after reading Kitta&Owen's experience, I am little scared. We are anyway trying to enter Canada and US on land, so hopefully it should be easier. Thank you guys, this forum and its members has been so helpful to me. I really appreciate everyone's effort in answering my questions
  4. Hello members, I need some help, my wife got her immigrant visa and we crossed the land border to US. At POE, cbp officers completed the paper work and put admission stamp on my wife's passport. They said we are good and we should receive the physical card in mail. Then I checked with the officer if my wife can travel back to Canada and return to US while waiting for her physical green card, the officer said no. We were really surprised and checked few times and one other officer said we could. I am really confused now, my wife is in US now but she was planning to go back to Canada in a week to wrap up her work and few other things. We are really not sure if we can do this or not now. My wife's visa had a line "upon endorsement serves as I-551 evidence for 1 year". so we assumed once CBP officer put admission stamp, it also could be used as travel document. Could some one please help clarify this for us. Has anyone been in this situation before? Could you please write your experience. Thanks, FaithandPatience

  6. Hello madam, You have mentioned that you endorsed visa before moving, can you please elaborate more. My wife got her Visa stamped and we are planning to drive with U-Haul next week, are there any steps to take before we move. Thanks FaithAndPatience
  7. Thank you for your repsonse and sorry for missing this in FAQ
  8. Dear members, I am a USC sponsoring my wife and she has interview coming up next week. All we have received is the email from NVC about the interview date and details of Montreal embassy. We have not received physical letter in the mail. I just wanted to confirm if this is OK right? Anyone received interview letter for Montreal Thanks, FaithandPatience
  9. Thank you so much. Also if I have 2021 tax statements available now, should I fill in a new I-864 EZ document before the interview? I am planning to send recent tax statements and pay stubs of mine that I have with my wife for the interview. Do you suggest that I fill out new I864 EZ form as well.
  10. Thank you so much. I have all the documents and my wife will be carrying all of them to the interview. I also wanted to upload it to CEAC and be pro-active but I was nervous that if I upload now, will it affect anything with the interview. Last time when I got an RFE and uploaded additional documents it put us back in the line and we lost 3 months. I do not want that to happen since we are so close to the interview. Do you have personal experience with this or if you know some one that has uploaded documents before the interview. I am sorry but I am reconfirming because this interview is so important for us and we have been waiting like everyone for more than three years to get here. Please don't mind me asking for re-assurance.
  11. Thank you guys for confirming this, I will upload additional documents before the interview to the additional documents section
  12. Thank you for the reply. We have our interview coming up soon, so it should be safe to update the documents right? Also I was reading few other posts and some people said that uploading documents in additional docus section is always safe. I want to be very sure before uploading any documents. Your reply helps me a lot. If there are others who may also know the answer to this question, please clarify.
