    Afternoon,

I did run into some luck.  One of the Congressman I contacted reached out to the consulate in Juarez.  He got the same runaround we all do when calling the consulate.  He then took it a step further and contacted the US state Department in Washington, D.C.   The State department then contacted the consulate, and they rescheduled our appointment.   He called me to tell me the good news, and less than a week later received the interview email. We went Sept 3, had the medical and biometric appointment, the two interviews, and we are now together in the US.   Not germane to the topic, but the second day in Juarez a Dr was murdered at the intersection outside the Hotel by two guys on motorcycles.  Worst place to do these interviews.  Anyhow, I digress, if any of you are in a similar situation I would recommend reaching out to your State's Senators and Congressman for their assistance.

    Regards,
    David

I have no added information.  I don't even know why they have a call center.  They could just leave a pre-recorded message with, "there are no rescheduled appointments available and submit a public inquiry."  Calling is useless unless they are tracking the number of times someone calls on a particular case and when you reach the magic number, they do something.  So far that doesn't seem to be they get 2-5 calls a day from my wife and me.  I haven't seen any inquiries regardless if I submitted or my wife submitted.  The oldest of these are now over 60 days old.

    Hello,
I'll try to keep a long story short but looking for some potential direction as to what I can try next or any helpful information.
I am a US citizen, petitioning for my wife in Mexico. Our Case closed, August 2019.   In April 2021 we received notice that our interview would be the second week of May.   With all travel arrangements and accommodations set, we were eager and ready for our interview.  The week of our interview my wife was admitted to the hospital with Covid and a severe case of Covid related Pneumonia. Things were touch and go, but I am happy to report she has made a full recovery.  For obvious reasons we had to cancel all our reservations and she could not attend the interview considering she was in the hospital.   That week I called and pressed numbers till I had someone on the phone at the consulate and explained the situation. I repeated this 3 times and received the same answer each subsequent time; that I will need to submit a public inquiry form to request a reschedule.   So that is what I did.  A month later I receive a response to my public inquiry.  The response, "That I need to submit a public inquiry requesting a rescheduled appointment."  The response to my inquiry was to submit another.  So, I did so, and now another 30 days has passed with no response, and I submitted a 3rd public inquiry.     I was hoping for some type of compassion considering she was in the hospital, and we were doing the right thing.  No such luck.

I have reached out to a few Congressmen and Senators.  Most didn't respond, one did respond and said they would contact the consulate on my behalf.   So far, no luck down that avenue.
Short of taking a trip to the Consulate and knocking on the door.  What have I not tried that I should?

    Thanks,
    David

That I don't know.  When they sent us the email for the appointment, there was a link to "register your appointment" on a third party site and make your biometrics appointment.  The site wouldn't let us schedule the biometrics because for whatever reason it was saying we didn't have our main interview appointment yet, and my wife ended up having to call several times and finally just go over to the place to get the biometrics done.  Huge stress and pain, but again, par for this experience.

She said they were sending it to her house, but the piece of paper they gave her (attached) makes it sound like she will have to go to some local office to pick it up.
