SMBH got a reaction from MGT in June 2021 AOS Filers
Hi, congrats on the interview! Sorry, forgot to update
So we had our interview and similar to yours it was brief, didn’t really ask us any questions, and didn’t give an official approval on the spot - just said we should expect an update online within a week - the interview was jan 18. On jan 19, status changed to “case approved” - on Jan 22, status changed to card was produced and then later to “card was picked up by USPS” -
I don’t remember the exact date we received the green card in the mail but it was just a couple of days later maybe Jan 25 or 26th.
Over all it was a smooth process and I’m so glad we’re done for the next two years at least. Hope you have an update soon!! Let us know if you hear back!

Mine was around $300 in expensive Northern Virginia. I also needed to pay for a titer test for MMR and chickenpox, and get a couple of vaccines, but I did this a few months prior at my student health clinic, where the vaccines were free and the titer tests were about $150. I'd advise checking the current requirements for vaccines and seeing if you can get them done elsewhere if needed and if your insurance covers them. It took about a week for the office to complete tests and paperwork.

I think it depends where you are located! I paid $449 for exam + vaccines (had to retake MMR and TDap because I couldn’t get my records from my home country). Just the exam was $199 and this was in the LA area. Just call around and see what the best deal is and look up the doctors on Yelp before going in. I advice you to schedule it ASAP because it took about two weeks for the office to finish the paperwork, and I heard that’s pretty standard no matter where you go. Good luck with everything!

So excited and definitely will do! Hopefully everything starts moving a bit quicker now for everyone.

Trying to schedule my husband’s I-693 medical exam now - has anyone already gone through this? We were asking around about fees, and got quoted $490 - Not sure if that’s the average for everyone? I looked at other posts and it looks like it ranges from $300 - 800 which is a pretty huge range 🙃

Thank you for the reply! I did include the g1145 - is there any way to send them additional forms or explain what happened  before they reject it or before they send an RFE? I’d rather send now then wait months, possibly delaying it longer or even being rejected. I tried calling the USCIS # but couldn’t connect with a human
